Job Description

Analytics Engineer

Vineskills

As an Analytics Engineer on the Insights team, you will help architect and build the backend and embedded analytics infrastructure behind our reporting platform. This role is primarily internal and product-focused. Design and implement data models and transformations in Databricks. Support and extend embedded dashboards in Domo and Metabase. Build reusable, scalable dashboard templates deployable across hundreds of clients. Develop backend logic and automation that powers our Insights platform. Improve performance, structure, and maintainability of analytics workflows. Collaborate asynchronously via documentation and Loom videos. Contribute ideas for future capabilities, including AI-assisted analytics features. Join weekly team meetings, self-manage your own projects and tasks in Jira, and report back your progress to the team.

Job Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, BI development, or data engineering.
  • Experience with Domo, Metabase, or other embedded BI tools.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with Python.
  • Experience working in Databricks.
  • Experience with Git and version-controlled workflows.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and transformation concepts.
  • Experience building embedded dashboards or analytics solutions.
  • Based in Latin America with strong overlap to North and South American time zones.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks and understanding of its functionalities.
  • Strong in SQL (advanced queries, transformations, optimization).
  • Comfortable writing/prompting and reading Python for data workflows or backend logic.
  • Experience with tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, VS Code, Git, and version-controlled environments.
  • Curious about emerging tools, including AI-powered analytics workflows.
  • Self-managed, clear in written communication, and thrive in a 100% remote team.
  • Experience working in the Legal industry.
