Job Description
Director, Analytics
Siege Media
Title: Director, Analytics Location: Remote Department: Analytics Job Description: Siege Media is a full-service GEO agency specializing in SEO, content marketing, digital PR, and affiliate marketing as a method of driving LLM visibility. We work with brands like Zapier, Asana, HP, PayPal, and Zoom. We're expanding our service suite to include Analytics, and we're looking for the founding hire to build and lead that practice. Perks for U.S. employees include 100% health, dental, and vision benefits, unlimited PTO, and remote-friendly work environments (with a preference for Austin or a willingness to travel for periodic team gatherings). Siege Media values diversity. We encourage people of color, LGBTQIA+ folks, veterans, parents and those with disabilities to apply. We are committed to helping all people succeed at Siege. If you require reasonable accommodation to complete our application or interview process, please let us know. The Role This is a hybrid implementer/strategist role. You'll be hands-on building the technical foundation (GA4, GTM, attribution, dashboards) and the authority in the room, translating data into strategy and defending it directly with clients. You'll own the Analytics service line from the ground up: setting standards, scoping engagements, and growing the practice as demand builds. If you only want to build, or only want to advise, this isn't the role. We need someone who can do both and is excited to shape a new offering. Responsibilities - Implementations: Lead end-to-end analytics implementations: GA4, Google Tag Manager (including server-side tagging), data layer architecture, and conversion tracking. - Reporting & Dashboards: Design and build reporting and dashboards (Looker Studio, BigQuery, and equivalent BI tools). - Attribution Strategy: Develop attribution models and measurement frameworks that tie organic, content, and PR efforts to business outcomes. - Client Advisory: Serve as the analytics authority on client calls — presenting insights, fielding questions, and guiding strategy with confidence. - Internal Partnership: Partner with GEO, SEO, content, affiliate, paid social and PR teams to instrument campaigns and prove impact. - Compliance: Ensure privacy and consent compliance (consent mode, data governance) across implementations. - Practice Building: Set the standards, processes, and deliverable templates for a scalable Analytics practice. - Sales Support: Scope and price new analytics engagements alongside the Growth team. - Brand Strategy: Use our Analytics infrastructure with historical data to help develop differentiated content strategies for the Siege Media brand. Required Skills - 7–10 years in marketing or web analytics, with a mix of agency and/or in-house experience - Dedicated experience using AI to build analytics dashboards/scaled recommendations, including but not limited to Claude artifacts for reporting and agentic workflows - Deep, hands-on GA4 and GTM expertise, including server-side tagging and data layer design - Strong SQL and experience with BigQuery and BI/visualization tools (Looker Studio or similar) - Proven attribution modeling and measurement strategy chops - Demonstrated client-facing presence — you can lead a call, not just join one - Ability to translate technical data into clear, strategic recommendations a CMO understands - Familiarity with privacy regulations and consent management Suggested Skills - Strong comfort using AI tools like Claude to drive analytics recommendations and scale your impact at an organization - Experience measuring SEO/content/GEO performance, or exposure to AI search analytics Compensation & Logistics - Salary: $135,000.00–$145,000.00 USD, $145,000.00-$165,000.00 OTE - Benefits: Full benefits for employees include 100% health/dental/vision, 401(k) matching and unlimited PTO - Location: Remote-friendly, with a preference for Austin, TX or a willingness to travel for periodic team gatherings
