Job Description
Engineering Manager
Intersog
Role Description The Engineering Manager, Landing Page Builder is the operational and people leader for the LPB group. This is an execution role, not a strategy-setting role. The CTO sets architectural direction; this hire translates that direction into sprint work, holds the team accountable to delivery, and builds the engineering culture the group needs to scale. The role works closely with the CTO, the VP of Product, Engineering Managers, and the Director of Data & AI/ML Engineering. Senior technical leadership will be available to support the incoming hire through onboarding onto the AI Builder workstream, ensuring a strong foundation from the outset. The team comprises full-time engineers and embedded external developers across two workstreams: the existing Builder product and the AI Builder. Total team size is approximately 7 engineers, with the expectation of that composition evolving as the product transition progresses. Responsibilities - Team Unification: Consolidate the Landing Page Builder group into one coherent unit with a shared sprint board, shared priorities, and a single delivery cadence. - Scrum and Engineering Discipline: Implement Agile and Scrum practices that drive real behavioural change. - People Development: Build structured development plans for engineers and invest in growing senior engineers into technical leaders. - Hybrid Team and Vendor Management: Manage a team spanning engineers and external vendor developers. - AI Builder Execution: Partner with the CTO to translate architectural direction into shippable sprint work for the AI-native product. - Parallel Workstream Management: Balance delivery across the existing Builder and the AI Builder simultaneously. - Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as a credible engineering voice in planning conversations with Product and senior leadership. Qualifications - 7–12 years of engineering experience, with 3+ years managing teams of 8 or more in a SaaS product environment. - Proven track record leading engineering teams through a legacy-to-modern product transition. - Demonstrated experience shipping AI-powered or agentic features in production. - Experience managing hybrid teams of full-time staff and embedded vendor or contractor developers. - Track record of developing senior engineers into technical leaders. - Modern engineering discipline: Agile and Scrum done properly, CI/CD maturity, code review culture. - Comfortable working alongside a CTO in a clear division of responsibilities. Requirements - Enough technical depth to earn credibility and make informed design decisions. - Fluent in agile delivery, knows when to run the process and when to cut it. - Hands-on familiarity with AI/ML tooling in a product integration context. - Understands CI/CD, observability, and what production-ready actually means. - Can read and reason about code, but not expected to ship it.

• Own the technical strategy and architecture for the POS Application Platform, acting as the domain CTO for everything that runs on our POS devices. • Build and govern the four core platform pillars across the organisation: developer experience (tools, libraries, SDKs), platform reliability (observability, uptime, quality standards), foundational frameworks (architecture, coding standards, testing and release pipelines), and squad adoption (driving uptake of platform tooling across all embedded POS engineers). • Define and enforce engineering standards across all POS device types and OEM manufacturers, ensuring architectural consistency and quality across a heterogeneous device fleet. • Functionally lead POS engineers embedded across Payments, Onboarding, VAS, Savings, and Loans squads — setting the bar for engineering quality and providing the platform layer above all of them. • Own POS observability end-to-end: monitoring, alerting, and incident response frameworks that ensure platform health across all devices and squads. • Drive the architecture for how Moniepoint supports multiple POS device types, including defining how new devices are onboarded, governed, and integrated with the platform. • Collaborate with OEM partners and the POS hardware team when new device types are introduced, ensuring the application layer is ready to support them from day one. • Write and review code directly — this role expects 40 to 60 percent hands-on engineering time. You will set the technical standard, not just the technical direction. • Build and scale the POS platform team, including hiring, mentoring, and structuring for growth as the platform expands internationally. • Translate platform decisions into business impact, working closely with Product, Payments, and Business leadership across markets. • Establish and continuously improve engineering processes, tooling standards, CI/CD pipelines, and developer productivity metrics across the POS engineering community.
