Job Description: Established in 1980, the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC) is a multi-site mission-driven non-profit organization employing over 700 staff whose primary focus is providing the highest quality patient care to residents throughout the Merrimack Valley. Nationally recognized as a leader in community medicine (family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, and geriatrics), GLFHC has clinical sites throughout the service area and is the sponsoring organization for the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program. GLFHC is currently seeking a Referral Specialist. The Referrals Specialist performs all functions necessary to ensure patients have been cleared for specialty service visits. Processes prior authorizations, schedules appointments and tracks referrals. - Must be able to don appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). - Prepares and processes all referral and pre-authorization paperwork. - Contacts various clinics, facilities, companies to obtain information to accurately complete referral and pre-authorization requests. - Utilizes third party payer and insurance portals; has a detailed knowledge of insurance providers, their portals and their expectations for authorization approval. - Calls patient within 48 hours of initial referral to provide update. - Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts - Hybrid schedule Qualifications: - Bilingual, Spanish and English preferred - HS Diploma or GED Certificate required - Medical or Administrative training. - Minimum of one year of experience working in hospital or other clinical environment. - Excellent communication and customer service skills required. • Serves in a primary support role for radiologists and as a functional liaison between hospital staff and medical staff from various facilities. • Support the radiologists with daily operations, including order entry and Clario issues, providing effective communications, and following up with urgent/critical findings. • Speaking with patients and referrers as the WithinHealth Care Coordinator, assisting with the lung screening program, and managing the radiologist hotline. • Plays a consistent, key role in problem-solving as issues arise. • Reports to the Director of Hospital & Teleradiology Operations. • Work Hours- PRN (As Needed)

• Conducting triage/categorization of potential Events and Incidents • Conducting initial evidence collection, case creation, and coordination/hand-off to other teams as necessary • Conducting full investigations • Assisting senior leadership in determining critical incidents • Responding in a timely manner (within documented SLA and Run Book) to support tickets. • Contributing to Incident Handling documentation such as standard operating procedures, playbooks, briefings and executive reports • Utilizing SIEM for detection and investigation of security events and incidents • Utilizing case management tools to document and track investigations • Performing threat mitigation as required • And such other tasks as may be given by the EMPLOYER and/or Client analogous to the foregoing.
