Processes prior authorizations, schedules appointments and tracks referrals. - Must be able to don appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). - Prepares and processes all referral and pre-authorization paperwork. - Contacts various clinics, facilities, companies to obtain information to accurately complete referral and pre-authorization requests. - Utilizes third party payer and insurance portals; has a detailed knowledge of insurance providers, their portals and their expectations for authorization approval. - Calls patient within 48 hours of initial referral to provide update. - Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts - Hybrid schedule Qualifications: - Bilingual, Spanish and English preferred - HS Diploma or GED Certificate required - Medical or Administrative training. - Minimum of one year of experience working in hospital or other clinical environment. - Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
