Role Description ASRC Federal Technology Solutions LLC is hiring a Strategic Operations Manager who will be responsible for driving operational excellence and supporting strategic growth across the NASA, NOAA, and Space Defense portfolio. This position will report to the NASA/NOAA Division Vice President and will partner with program, operations, and business development leaders to improve business processes, enhance organizational readiness, and support the successful capture and execution of new programs. This position combines operational management with business planning to ensure the division is positioned for continued growth while delivering exceptional customer performance. Work location: Remote (flexible to travel when needed) Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (Top Secret/SCI preferred) Key Responsibilities - Operational Excellence - Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational processes and standard operating procedures that support efficient program execution. - Establish governance practices aligned with NASA Procedural Requirements (NPRs), AS9100 quality standards, and corporate policies. - Identify process improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and operational performance. - Business Operations - Develop and monitor operational metrics, KPIs, and performance dashboards. - Track program execution, resource utilization, financial performance, and operational risks. - Prepare reports and recommendations to support division leadership in operational planning and decision-making. - Growth & Proposal Support - Partner with Business Development and Capture teams to support proposals and strategic pursuits across NASA, NOAA, and Space Defense customers. - Contribute operational, staffing, transition, and management content for competitive proposals. - Assess organizational readiness, including staffing, facilities, security, and infrastructure, to support new business opportunities. - Transition & Program Support - Coordinate transition planning and startup activities for newly awarded contracts. - Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful handoff from capture through program execution. - Develop repeatable transition processes that improve program startup and long-term performance. - Customer & Stakeholder Engagement - Build collaborative relationships with program managers, internal stakeholders, and government customers. - Support customer engagement activities and identify opportunities for follow-on work and operational improvements. - Represent the division during customer meetings, operational reviews, and proposal activities as needed. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a technical field. - 15 years of progressively responsible experience supporting NASA, NOAA, Department of Defense, or other federal aerospace organizations. - Experience managing operations for complex government programs and supporting business growth initiatives. - Experience supporting proposal development, transition planning, or contract startup activities. - Working knowledge of NASA program management processes, federal contracting, and aerospace quality standards. - Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business organizations. - Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (Top Secret/SCI preferred). When possible, projects are driven by approved strategies and business objectives, and outcomes are measured through analytics, engagement statistics, and traffic reports. This position is available as a hybrid or virtual work schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Website Management - Manage the firm’s flagship website (wsgr.com), which contains over 25,000 web pages, including bios for 1,100+ attorneys and other professionals. This includes continuously monitoring, updating, and reviewing content to ensure compliance with Wilson Sonsini brand and style guidelines; creating new pages and working with RubyLaw to implement design modifications; and editing photos and other graphic images that appear on the site. - Manage and continuously update the firm’s various microsites and blogs (e.g., Emerging Companies and Venture Capital microsite, Careers microsite, Data Advisor blog, Known Trends blog) with new content. This involves managing the relevant hosting platforms; WordPress/WPEngine administration (including web servers); and performing necessary software upgrades. - Serve as the primary gatekeeper for RubyLaw, the firm’s website content management system, responsible for establishing global settings, managing users and access, and updating roles and passwords. Further, provide RubyLaw support to internal clients across the firm and act as a conduit to RubyLaw customer support when necessary. - Maintain the registration of the firm’s various website domain names. - Troubleshoot any and all website-related technical issues/challenges in a swift and seamless manner to ensure an uniterrupted digital presence. - Ensure website accessibility and take a proactive approach to compliance issues.
