Digital Media Strategist

Cox Media Group

• Serve as the market's digital marketing expert, partnering closely with the CMG sales team to drive digital revenue growth through consultative client engagement and strategic marketing solutions. • Work directly with Account Executives during client meetings to uncover business objectives, conduct client needs analyses, develop customized digital marketing strategies, and present integrated solutions that deliver measurable business results. • Attend client needs assessment meetings alongside Account Executives to uncover clients' business objectives and marketing goals. • Develop customized digital marketing strategies and integrated proposals that align with clients' objectives and budgets. • Present strategic digital recommendations confidently alongside the local sales team. • Serve as the market's digital subject matter expert by educating clients and Account Executives on digital marketing strategies, products, and industry trends. • Collaborate with sales leadership to identify high-growth accounts, prospect opportunities, and strategic revenue initiatives. • Complete all required digital campaign documentation and insertion order details accurately and efficiently. • Partner with the CMG Local Solutions Campaign Operations team to monitor campaign performance, identify optimization opportunities, and recommend strategic enhancements. • Analyze campaign results and communicate performance insights to both Account Executives and clients. • Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships through additional digital marketing solutions. • Collaborate with CMG Local Solutions teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product Marketing, Campaign Operations, Performance Management, Digital Marketing Analysts, and Creative Services. • Stay current on emerging digital advertising trends, platforms, technologies, and best practices.

Job Requirements

  • Previous outside sales, digital media, marketing, or client-facing consulting experience preferred.
  • Results-oriented professional with the ability to proactively pursue business opportunities with energy, accountability, and strategic thinking.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, uncover business challenges, develop marketing strategies, and confidently ask for the business.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the digital advertising ecosystem, including programmatic advertising, DSPs/SSPs, customer attribution, audience targeting, and emerging digital marketing trends.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and consultative selling skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities.
  • Experience translating campaign performance into actionable client recommendations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms; experience with GA4, digital reporting platforms, and attribution tools is a plus.
  • Tech-savvy with a willingness to continuously learn new platforms and products.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Must be available for occasional overnight travel.
