Data and AI Lead – Agentic Tax Processes and Platforms

EY

• Design agentic workflows for tax processes, including task-level agent responsibilities, agent-to-agent communication patterns, human-in-the-loop and escalation models, feedback loops and agent performance monitoring and evaluations. • Define reusable agent blueprints aligned to Lean-derived task definitions. • Apply leading edge agentic driven design and build methodologies. • Design and oversee the build of AI-ready data marts that expose tax data at the right grain, maintain lineage and quality controls, and support reasoning. • Lead data ingestion and transformation from ERP systems, tax platforms, semi-structured documents, external data sources. • Apply design led thinking to embed agent and workflow governance and security. • Architect solutions deployable within client environments and EY-hosted platforms. • Act as technical authority within the CoE, developing reference architectures, patterns, and accelerators.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Advanced certifications in AI, machine learning, cloud computing or data engineering are highly advantageous.
  • 15+ years experience across data architecture, data engineering, and analytics including building SQL database, database designing and data modelling.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms and AI tooling such as Azure ML, Databricks, MLflow, LangChain, LangGraph.
  • Strong grounding in data modelling, data governance and quality, large-scale data integration.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI/ML or advanced analytics in production environments.
  • Proficient in programming or scripting languages: for instance, C++, Java, Python and key ML libraries (e.g. PyTorch, PySpark, scikit-learn, Hugging Face Transformers).
  • Comfortable working with both business stakeholders and data & ai engineers.
  • Experience shaping technical strategy and operating models.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and unsatiable desire to learn and keep up with technology developments.

This role leads the design and development of an advanced multi-agent AI platform that powers intelligent research, drafting, and reasoning capabilities for large-scale enterprise knowledge environments. You will architect agent frameworks, optimize retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, fine-tune language models, and build the infrastructure that enables AI systems to collaborate, plan, and execute complex tasks reliably.
