Global Tax Expert, Tax Manager

• Collaborate with external advisors and internal finance teams to prepare and file tax returns in multiple countries on time and accurately — in compliance with international tax law and with a clear escalation process for irregularities • Advise other departments on tax-related matters, e.g., structuring transactions, contract reviews and financial planning • Support ERP system migrations with a focus on process automation to increase efficiency and accuracy • Participate in due diligence and integration processes within M&A projects • Support tax reporting in cooperation with the Tax and Finance teams — including timely and accurate reporting for quarterly, annual and interim financial statements • Coordinate external auditors and tax advisors • Monitor changes in legislation and assess their impact on the company • Provide guidance and support to colleagues in Accounting • Review and optimize existing processes with regard to efficiency and digitalization • Budget responsibility for services provided by external partners • Document risks and related processes, including maintaining the Risk Register • Monitor compliance with group-wide transfer pricing policies and respond to ad-hoc requests • Support tax audits and manage communications with tax authorities
Job Requirements
- Degree in economics (e.g., Business Administration, Economics) or certification as a tax advisor or public auditor
- Several years of professional experience in corporate taxation at a mid-sized/large consulting firm or in the tax department of an international company
- Solid knowledge of tax accounting and tax reporting
- Proven experience in corporate tax compliance
- Digital affinity, proficient with tax software and motivated to improve processes through technology
- Clear, audience-appropriate communication even on complex tax topics
- Ability to identify risks early and actively contribute to finding solutions
- Strong team skills and an aptitude for international networking at all levels
- High adaptability to change in complex corporate structures
- Language skills: German at least level B2 & English at least level C1
