Adjunct Faculty – SOE Clinical Supervisor – Teacher Credential Programs, Ed Specialists (Mild to Moderate & Extensive Needs)
UMass Global Career Bootcamps
• Serve as a clinical supervisor to teachers for credential candidates. • Help the candidate acclimate to the site. • Collaborate with the Cooperating/Mentor Teacher. • Use formative and summative assessment forms to assess and guide the student’s growth utilizing GoReact for remote observations. • Maintain ongoing communication with the teacher credential candidate and Cooperating/Mentor Teacher. • Review lesson and unit plans designed by UMass Global teacher credential candidates. • Provide CalTPA support for Cycles 1 & 2 and attend ongoing training.
Job Requirements
- Must hold a California Teaching Credential in the content area they are supervising.
- Master’s degree in education or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- Experience teaching in diverse school settings (5-7 years minimum).
- Knowledge of Common Core and California state standards and frameworks as well as instructional practices that support student learning, including effective strategies for working with English learners and students with special needs.
- Recent professional experience in PK-12 school settings where curriculum aligns with California's adopted content standards.
- Experience mentoring teachers and/or teacher credential candidates.
- Communication and interpersonal skills that nurture and empower teachers.
