Compliance Manager

Mission Lane

• Own fraud, collections, and back-office compliance for Mission Lane's credit card business • Be the embedded compliance authority across Mission Lane's fraud, collections, and back-office servicing operations • Own day-to-day escalations from fraud and collections • Run testing and monitoring against critical controls • Proactively identify gaps and develop guidance on high-risk compliance topics • Partner with the business to strengthen programs and elevate the expertise of the compliance team

Job Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in compliance within a fintech or financial services company
  • Direct experience in fraud compliance, including dispute handling processes, remediation frameworks, and complaint-driven risk areas
  • Solid working knowledge of FCRA/Reg V, FDCPA/Reg F, ECOA/Reg B, UDAAP, SCRA, and Bankruptcy Code automatic stay provisions
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex regulatory requirements and translate them into practical, risk-balanced guidance for business partners
  • Experience conducting compliance monitoring, testing, or audit and exam preparation
  • High degree of self-direction: you can prioritize competing demands and adapt quickly in a changing environment
  • Ability to travel approximately four times a year for two to five days at a time

Role Description Reset Tech is seeking a member of staff to take the lead on our portfolio of research that seeks to explore and develop insights into digital platforms' compliance with various legislative frameworks, including the Digital Services Act (EU) and the Online Safety Act (UK). The role involves: - Developing and delivering research outputs. - Managing and coordinating research projects. - Undertaking research tasks as needed, such as sock puppet management and data analysis. - Producing high-quality written insights for stakeholders and wider audiences. Qualifications - At least 5 years of experience coordinating research projects, including managing staff and contractors. - Strong grasp of regulations of large digital platforms in the EU (Digital Services Act) and UK (Online Safety Act). - Understanding of regulatory concerns relating to child safety and broader online harms. - Familiarity with a range of digital & AI platforms. - Experience with a range of research methods, especially sock puppet methods and feature and function testing. - Strong data analytic skills and attention to detail. - Excellent writing skills; able to deliver independent, rigorous research products. - An intrinsically motivated, self-starter. - Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments, able to thrive with ambiguity. - Fluency in English, and ideally, one other EU language. Requirements - Contribute to the development of a global compliance research strategy, especially around the protection of minors and scam mitigation. - Oversee research projects from ideation to completion, leading to high-quality outputs for delivery to regulators. - Manage inputs from a team of other researchers and contractors, including sock puppet methods, surveys, data science, and some OSINT. - Undertake some sock puppet research methods directly when other resources are unavailable. - Lead and grow sock puppet research methods, to develop Safety-by-Design testing methods. - Produce concise, evidence-based research reports, briefings, and data-driven insights. - Collaborate with key stakeholders, internal and external, across Europe and the UK on cross-cutting compliance issues.
