HEDIS User Acceptance Testing Analyst

Role Description The HEDIS User Acceptance Testing Analyst will: - Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of user interface and reporting based applications, including application analysis, data validation, and testing. - Read and write SQL, Python, PySpark, and shell scripts with knowledge of joins, table and view properties, and ability to review and understand data dictionaries as it relates to a database environment. - Work with health plan data. - Develop data-driven metrics to identify gaps and implement targeted interventions to improve results on key performance measures. - Perform analytics and investigative research. - Evaluate and prioritize data-supported quality improvement recommendations to customers. - Merge and append data from multiple sources. - Provide subject matter guidance to clients on data issues and data questions. - Provide strategic and operational support in preparation of the HEDIS Roadmap, HOQ, and HEDIS audit. - Manage and prioritize large, high visibility projects. - Analyze, review, forecast, and trend complex data; review the accuracy and interpretation of others’ work. - Develop and implement business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes. - Support short and long-term operational and strategic business activities through analysis and testing. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field. - 60 months of experience in job offered or in an analyst-related occupation. Requirements - Experience with HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) processes including measure calculation, reporting, validation, and submission activities. - Familiarity with health plan data domains including Member, Enrollment, Provider, Lab, Visits, Pharmacy, and related datasets. - Ability to handle supplemental data for HEDIS reporting. - Understanding of CMS Quality Rating System concepts. - Experience with measure analytics to perform investigative research and root cause analysis. - Ability to translate and integrate data from multiple formats and data warehouses. - Knowledge of claims data and claims processing workflows. - Experience evaluating and prioritizing recommendations for quality improvement initiatives for customers. - Ability to develop data-driven metrics to identify gaps and implement interventions to improve performance on key measures. - Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for user interfaces and reporting applications related to HEDIS. • Review and analyze Perkins Loan borrower accounts to identify discrepancies involving principal, interest accrual, late fees, collection costs, and payment applications • Process complex account adjustments, including: Interest recalculations, Payment reversals and corrections, Deferment and forbearance updates, Loan cancellations (employment-based, military, etc.), Rehabilitation and write-off adjustments • Ensure all adjustments are fully documented and supported in accordance with the federal regulations and institutional audit standards • Coordinate resolution of account discrepancies with third-party servicer or collection agencies • Reconcile the Perkins Loan servicing system to the institution's general ledger and revolving fund on monthly and quarterly basis • Prepare and validate financial reports including: Outstanding principal and accrued interest, Delinquency and default aging reports, Cash receipts and collection activity, Cancellation and rehabilitation activity • Investigate and resolve variances between servicing reports and accounting systems • Support year-end close processes and assist in preparation of financial statements and required federal reporting • Provide documentation and schedules for internal and external audits, including Single Audit support • Ensure compliance with Federal Perkins Loan Program regulations and institutional policies • Monitor account activity to ensure proper billing, collection due diligence and regulatory timelines are met • Maintain audit-ready records for all financial transitions and account adjustments • Identify process weaknesses and recommend improvements to strengthen internal controls and reporting accuracy • Perform quality reviews of account transactions and portfolio data • Monitor trends in delinquency, deferment, forbearance, cancellation and default activity • Assist with data validation during systems upgrades or servicing transitions
