Associate Sales Strategy Manager

PurposeBuilt Brands

• Analyze customer POS, syndicated, and shopper data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks across categories and customers • Synthesize multiple data sources into clear insights and actionable recommendations • Partner with Business Analytics to enhance weekly/monthly tracking tools and ensure outputs are decision-oriented • Support line review preparation through performance analysis, competitive assessment, and opportunity sizing • Support reporting and analysis that informs business decisions • Develop retailer-focused selling stories that connect brand strategy with category and shopper insights • Create impactful presentation materials using clear data visualizations (charts, graphs) and concise takeaways • Support customer-facing discussions by translating analytics into compelling, actionable narratives • Ensure deliverables are polished, clear, and aligned to both brand and retailer objectives • Strong working knowledge of category dynamics, shopper behavior, and channel-specific trends • Monitor competitive activity and channel shifting, surfacing implications and supporting action planning • Support multi-channel strategy development by identifying differences in shopper needs and retail execution

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (emphasis in business, marketing, finance, or related field)
  • 3–5 years of experience in Sales Strategy, Category Management, Analytics, or related commercial role
  • Advanced analytical skills and computer software proficiency (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Strong familiarity with syndicated data, measures and software (e.g. NPD, IRI, Nielson, etc.)
  • Perform analysis across a wide variety of category business issues and make fact-based recommendations
  • Must be able to link data analytics to winning growth strategies
  • Critical thinking, self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to build strong sustainable business relationships with customers and customer teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
