Role Description Looking for Philippines-based candidates. Job Role: Senior Lending Associate Compensation range: $1,500 AUD - $2,200 AUD / Monthly Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting two brokers, including the Head Broker, by managing residential and commercial lending applications from submission through to settlement. You will take ownership of the end-to-end loan process, ensuring every file is prepared with precision, managed proactively, and delivered to the highest professional standards. This role is ideal for an experienced lending professional who thrives in a structured, quality-focused environment and enjoys building strong relationships with clients, lenders, and industry partners. Beyond day-to-day loan processing, you will contribute to workflow efficiency, identify opportunities within the existing client portfolio, and play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience while positioning yourself for long-term career growth within the business. Key Responsibilities - Loan Processing & File Management - Manage residential loan applications from post-discovery through to settlement. - Support commercial lending transactions as required. - Collect, review, and verify supporting documentation. - Structure loan applications to maximise approval outcomes. - Prepare and lodge applications in accordance with lender and compliance requirements. - Monitor application progress and proactively resolve issues or delays. - Ensure all files are maintained accurately within internal systems. - Client Relationship Management - Act as the primary point of contact throughout the loan process. - Provide regular updates to clients, ensuring they remain informed at every stage. - Deliver a professional, responsive, and seamless customer experience. - Build strong long-term relationships through proactive communication and service excellence. - Lender & Stakeholder Management - Liaise with lenders, Business Development Managers (BDMs), aggregators, solicitors, valuers, and referral partners. - Follow up outstanding requirements and negotiate efficient outcomes. - Maintain strong relationships with lending partners to facilitate smooth settlements. - Workflow & Operations - Support brokers by managing workflow priorities and ensuring files progress efficiently. - Maintain high levels of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail. - Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and systems. - Assist in maintaining service standards and operational efficiency across the business. - Back-Book Management - Review existing client loan portfolios. - Identify opportunities for refinancing, restructuring, fixed-rate expiries, and additional lending. - Assist brokers in generating ongoing client engagement and business growth opportunities. - Compliance & Quality Assurance - Ensure all applications meet regulatory, aggregator, and lender compliance requirements. - Maintain complete and accurate file documentation. - Uphold internal quality standards and best practices throughout the lending process. Qualifications - Minimum 3 years' experience as a Client Service Manager, Loan Processor, Lending Associate, or similar role within a mortgage brokerage. - Demonstrated experience managing residential lending applications end-to-end. - Strong understanding of lender policies, credit requirements, and mortgage processing. - Experience coordinating multiple loan applications simultaneously. - Excellent organisational and time management skills. - Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to build trusted relationships with clients, lenders, and internal stakeholders. Desirable Experience - Exposure to commercial lending transactions. - Experience using MyCRM. - Knowledge of aggregator systems and compliance requirements. - Experience reviewing and managing client loan portfolios.
