Manager of Trust and Corporate Administration Job Location - Hong Kong Shift - Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 6.00pm Work mode – Hybrid Manager, Trust and Corporate Administration is responsible for the day to day administration and ongoing management of a portfolio of trust and corporate structures for high net worth individuals (HNWIs) and families. This role ensures robust fiduciary governance, regulatory compliance, and high quality client service, while acting as a key point of contact for clients, professional advisors, bankers and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Trust & Fiduciary Administration - Manage a portfolio of discretionary family trusts, private trust companies (“PTCs”), employee benefit trusts (“EBTs”), purpose trusts and their underlying companies, ensuring compliance with trust deeds, internal policies, compliance and statutory requirements. - Handle setting up, restructuring and closure of trusts and their underlying companies throughout their entire life cycles. - Exercise trustee duties responsibly, including annual reviews with clients, loans and distributions to beneficiaries and interpretation of trust provisions. - Draft and/or review trust and corporate documentation, including but not limited to trust deeds and deeds for subsequent changes, letter of wishes and various resolutions and agreements, ensuring accuracy, duty of care and adherence to fiduciary standards. Client Relationship Management - Act as a primary relationship contact with clients and/or their professional advisors (lawyers, accountants, investment advisors, bankers). - Build and maintain strong long‑term relationships with clients and different stakeholders with focus on service excellence, responsiveness, and risk awareness. - Participate in meetings with clients and different stakeholders, prepare meeting notes, and follow through on agreed actions. Governance, Risk & Compliance - Ensure compliance with Hong Kong and Offshore Trust Ordinances, AML/CTF requirements, CRS/FATCA, sanctions, and CSC internal governance frameworks. - Identify, assess, and escalate fiduciary, financial crime, and reputational risks appropriately. - Support annual trust reviews, regular file reviews, regulatory enquiries and internal risk assessments. Team & Portfolio Management - Provide technical guidance, oversight, and mentoring to Trust Officers and Administrators. - Review work prepared by junior staff, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and quality. - Assist the Director with workflow planning and capacity management. Transactions & Ongoing Administration - Oversee capital and income distributions, asset acquisitions/disposals, loan arrangements, and bank account operations, etc. - Liaise with internal teams within CSC to ensure seamless services. - Monitor trust assets and service providers, ensuring proper documentation and approvals. Business Support & Development - Assist with new client onboarding, including fee proposals, engagement letters and client acceptance controls. - Identify opportunities for cross-selling services within the CSC group. - Contribute to process improvements, knowledge sharing, and best‑practice initiatives within the Private Client Services team. Key Requirements Professional Experience - 8 to 12 years’ experience in trust and corporate services field, with at least 3–5 years at a managerial level. - Solid experience managing complex HNWI / family structures in Hong Kong or other jurisdictions e.g. BVI, Cayman Islands, Jersey and Guernsey. - Exposure to PTCs, EBTs, investment holding structures, and cross‑border families is highly desirable. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Accounting, Business, or related discipline. - Professional qualifications such as STEP (TEP/Associate), HKCGI (Associate), or equivalent are strongly preferred. Technical Knowledge - Strong knowledge of trust law, fiduciary duties, and governance principles. - Working knowledge of Hong Kong and BVI AML/CTF, CRS/FATCA, and regulatory expectations gain from trustee companies. - Commercial understanding of investments, private wealth structuring, and family governance.
