Role Description Camunda is building the future of process orchestration, and how we bring our people together matters. We are looking for an experienced events professional to own and elevate how Camundi connect, align, and celebrate as a company. This role sits on the People team, which means you will work at the intersection of culture and be aligned with company strategy. This is a hands-on production role at its core. The person who thrives here has spent years building and executing complex, multi-day gatherings from the ground up and carries that operational depth into every decision they make. If your background is primarily in communications, program management, or adjacent functions, this role is not the right fit. What You Will Do - Camunda Kickoff (Primary Ownership) - Own the Camunda Kickoff event end-to-end, from the first site visit to the final retrospective. - Lead all logistics: venue sourcing, contract negotiation, travel coordination, rooming, F&B, AV, and on-site execution, while managing an agency to assist. - Manage a network of external vendors with clear SLAs, budgets, and accountability. - Partner with the CEO, CPO, and functional leaders to shape the agenda and ensure it reflects company strategy and priorities. - Curate content that is substantive and engaging, working with presenters on narrative, flow, and relevance. - Build and manage the event budget, track actuals, and report on spend. - Lead post-event retrospectives and apply learnings to the next cycle. - Culture and Connection Programming - Identify and execute moments that reinforce Camunda culture throughout the year: team milestones, recognition events, and seasonal touchpoints. - Partner with People Business Partners and the broader People team to ensure programming reflects where the company is and where it is going. - Advise on the events calendar holistically, prioritizing impact and avoiding Camundi fatigue. - Operational Excellence - Build scalable processes for event planning, vendor management, and stakeholder communication that the broader team can use. - Maintain and evolve the internal events playbook. - Track and report on event effectiveness using clear metrics tied to attendance, engagement, and feedback. Qualifications - Five or more years of direct, hands-on experience managing corporate or internal events, specifically including large-scale, multi-day gatherings with international attendees. - Demonstrated ability to manage complex logistics, multiple vendors, and senior stakeholders simultaneously without losing the details. - Strong project management skills; use systems and tools to stay organized. - Genuine judgment about what makes a session worth people's time, a room setup that works, and an agenda that holds. - Comfort working in ambiguity and iterating quickly. - A bias toward action and clear communication when things go sideways. - Experience working in a remote or distributed environment is a real advantage. - Proficiency with standard event and collaboration tools; familiarity with Asana or similar project management software is a plus. Requirements - This role will not have a large team underneath it, at least not initially. - If you are looking for a role where you manage a big department, this is not it. - This is an event ownership role, and the right person will carry deep craft in that specific discipline. - You will have significant ownership, direct access to senior leadership, and the opportunity to shape how a global company comes together. Benefits - Competitive, fair, and transparent compensation. - Salary ranges are location-based, with Standard and Major markets reflecting local competition. - Equity through our Virtual Stock Option Plan (VSOP). - Remote & Flexible: Work from anywhere with home office budget, co-working space support, and flexible time off. - In Person Connection: Annual Kickoff, team offsites, and Camundi Connection Budgets. - Health & Wellbeing: Access to tailored healthcare, Modern Health for global mental wellbeing, and the Live Well Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA). - Financial Security: Retirement and pension plans, plus life and disability insurance. - Professional Growth: Up to $/€/£1,000 per year for self-driven learning.
