Role Description Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities. - Serves as the Telepsychiatry coordinator under the direction and supervision of the Chief Psychiatrist, Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). - Leads, directs, supervises, coordinates, participates in, and oversees the functioning and growth of the telepsychiatric services within the BOP. - Provides supervision, orientation, and training to all stand-alone Psychiatrists (telepsychiatrists) at non-medical center locations. - Coordinates the workload and psychiatric support efforts between telepsychiatrists and their assigned institutions. - Provides clinical and administrative oversight as needed to field telepsychiatrists and mainline staff. - Serves in an advisory or consultation relationship to other health care professionals performing evaluations in the assigned mainline institutions. - Coordinates and ensures quality patient care in accordance with administrative policies of the BOP, American Correctional Association (ACA), JC, and other regulatory agencies. Qualifications - Degree: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada, accredited by recognized bodies. - Degree from Foreign Medical School: Must provide education and medical knowledge equivalent to accredited schools in the United States. - Licensure: Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a recognized jurisdiction. - Graduate Training: At least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting. - Additional Requirements: 5 years of graduate training in the specialty of the position to be filled OR equivalent experience and training. Radiologist must be located in the United States or U.S. Territories. Fellowship training is preferred but not required. Expectations include: - Interpretation of general radiology studies including MR, CT, ultrasound, radiographs, and the occasional nuclear medicine study. - The majority (80%+) of the reads are x-rays and CTs. Compensation: $525k+ potential - Base salary of $425k (84 RVUs per 8-hour shift). - Plus productivity bonuses paid quarterly totaling $100k-$200k per year (or more) for high producers.
