Corporate Controller
Appriss Retail
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process • Lead and develop a team of 6 accounting professionals • Ensure compliance with US GAAP including ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 842 lease accounting • Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and data governance framework • Own external audit relationship and manage all audit deliverables • Lead and implement AI and automation initiatives • Support CFO on covenant compliance reporting and board-level financial reporting • Drive chart of accounts rationalization and systems optimization
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 3-5 years in a controller or senior accounting leadership role
- PE-backed company experience strongly preferred
- CPA designation
- Active user and advocate of AI tools in accounting workflows
- Strong technical accounting foundation combined with operational mindset
- SaaS or subscription software industry experience highly preferred
- NetSuite experience a plus; experience with ERP implementation or data governance projects a differentiator

• Prepares monthly financial statements, including current and comparative analysis. Provides detailed and thorough variance analysis, net revenue, and expense trend analysis. Identifies issues with hospital department operations and financial reporting. Communicates identified problem areas to appropriate leaders. Ensures that reporting is accurate, timely and communication around the financials is clear. • Review and completes the posting of transactions and journal entries. Evaluates existing procedures for recording assets, liabilities and financial transactions. Implements new, revised or modified bookkeeping and accounting procedures when appropriate.
