Account Executive
CRC Insurance Services
• Manage accounts from submission through binding, including coordinating all required documentation and communications. • Partner with brokers and underwriters to solicit, quote, and maintain new and renewal business. • Negotiate coverage terms with carriers, including pricing, deductibles, enhancements, and exclusions. • Select appropriate carriers and manage the marketing process for assigned accounts. • Prepare and deliver quotes, coverage comparisons, and recommendations to support placement decisions. • Process new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and carrier guidelines. • Issue binders, invoices, and confirm coverage details, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate. • Maintain ongoing communication with agents, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution of account activities. • Support retention and renewal strategies by identifying opportunities to expand coverage and strengthen client relationships. • Provide guidance and direction to support staff as needed to ensure efficient workflow and service delivery. • Conduct research and prepare account or market analysis to support client and business development efforts. • Maintain accurate records and manage all correspondence in accordance with company standards. • Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and carrier capabilities through ongoing education and training.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Progressive experience in wholesale insurance, brokerage, or underwriting support roles (typically 3+ years).
- Demonstrated experience managing accounts, marketing business, and supporting placement activities.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, coverage structures, and market dynamics.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and make informed decisions with limited supervision.
- Active state insurance license required in applicable lines of business.

• Drive incremental sales growth and profitability through account relationships • Monitor key performance indicators for assigned professional customers • Cultivate net new sales relationships • Utilize Salesforce to manage ongoing customer communications • Conduct initial customer meetings and build relationships • Produce new account revenue in line with current organization through individual targets/quotas • Establish effective partnerships with assigned customers through in-person sales appointments • Develop strategies focused on expanding customer base within defined sales territory
• As an individual contributor who is part of a regional sales team, you will have the opportunity to own your territory, manage the entire lifecycle of a sale, and build new business relationships that bring Newsela’s solutions to classrooms. • Take ownership of developing territory business plans, evaluating funding landscapes, and tailoring sales strategies to align with district initiatives. • In addition to achieving your own revenue targets, you will get to work with an enthusiastic, cross-functional team to catapult Newsela’s growth as we scale our national sales organization. • Meet in-person with school and district leaders, presenting solutions, negotiating terms, and securing agreements that bring Newsela into classrooms. • Have a direct impact on the expansion and adoption of Newsela products, which will ultimately scale Newsela’s ability to bring engaging, culturally responsive learning content to K-12 classrooms nationwide. • Thrive in a role that requires significant autonomy, representing the company in the market, making recommendations that impact strategy and results, and managing priorities independently. • Exercise discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance, including evaluating customer needs, structuring tailored solutions, negotiating within established guidelines, and influencing revenue and business outcomes.
