Senior Platform Engineer
Intangible
• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for Intangible's platform layer • Design and evolve infrastructure for our AI-assisted, collaborative tools at scale • Lead the implementation of backend services and APIs with a focus on security, modularity, and performance • Define and implement infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, observability, and system health tooling • Ensure our systems meet high availability targets ("four nines") while remaining flexible for rapid iteration • Integrate 3rd-party services including AI pipelines, payments, analytics, and user auth • Collaborate across product, design, and ML to translate creative tooling needs into backend capabilities
Job Requirements
- Deep expertise in managing content across asynchronous and real-time collaborative environments, including orchestration of agentic APIs and data flows through these environments
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Practical expertise with cloud infrastructure and IaC tools
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, WebSockets, WebTransport, and realtime sync
- Optimizing schema and large data sets for use by LLMs
- Architecting and deploying multi-tenant systems with strong role, permission, and tenant isolation
- Managing schema migrations and cross-environment data synchronization safely
- Expertise in GCP and/or PostgreSQL (bonus)
- Experience with 3D tools or creative platforms (bonus)
- Passion for building creative tools and empowering artists (bonus)
- Experience using AI tools to improve engineering workflows (e.g., code generation, debugging, testing, documentation), or strong openness to adopting them (bonus)
