• Own the day-to-day investment operating rhythm for client portfolios, including proposal workflow, portfolio reviews, trade and rebalance coordination, manager implementation, liquidity windows, and follow-through with advisors, operations, and compliance. • Own the investment proposal process for prospects and existing clients, translating account statements, goals, constraints, risk tolerance, and advisor notes into clear recommendations. • Build client-ready investment materials that explain the recommended portfolio, role of each allocation, key risks, implementation steps, and expected monitoring cadence. • Develop and maintain Vectis portfolio construction frameworks, model allocations, manager rosters, rebalancing guidelines, and house-view strategy work for the RIA/MFO client base. • Prepare and oversee client portfolio trade lists, rebalances, subscriptions, redemptions, and implementation instructions in coordination with advisors, operations, and compliance. • Present manager recommendations, portfolio construction views, and monitoring updates to the investment committee with clear recommendation logic and risk framing.
Job Requirements
- 8-12 years of experience in investment strategy, portfolio construction, manager research, private wealth, family office, MFO, RIA, OCIO, fund of funds, investment consulting, or alternatives.
- Demonstrated experience as a primary or senior investment professional for UHNW, family office, or institutional clients, including building proposals and portfolio recommendations—preferably in an MFO/RIA or family-office setting.
- Hands-on portfolio construction and client portfolio implementation experience, including rebalancing, trade-list preparation, subscriptions/redemptions, liquidity windows, and operational coordination.
- Strong manager sourcing and due diligence experience across marketable and/or private fund strategies, including investment diligence and operational diligence.
- Ability to write concise investment memos, IC materials, client proposals, advisor notes, and manager monitoring updates.
- Senior communication presence with advisors, clients, managers, investment committee members, operations, legal/compliance, and internal investment colleagues.
- High fiduciary judgment, strong attention to detail, and comfort being accountable for portfolio recommendations and implementation follow-through.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills; experience with portfolio analytics, CRM/reporting tools, Python/SQL, or AI-enabled workflow automation is a plus.
- CFA, CAIA, MBA, or relevant graduate training is a plus but not a substitute for proven judgment and execution.
