Job Description

VP of Marketing

ZeroTier, Inc.

• Own ZeroTier's marketing execution, with a primary focus on building top-of-funnel pipeline through SEO, AEO/GEO, and organic content programs that grow IQLs, MQLs, and SQL conversion over time — with accountability for CAC, CPL, and funnel performance at each stage, as well as brand metrics like SOV. • Lead ZeroTier's SEO/AEO/GEO strategy — including technical SEO, content architecture, schema, domain authority building, and ensuring ZeroTier surfaces in AI-powered answer engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) on topics where we should own the conversation. • Oversee and direct ZeroTier's demand generation programs setting vector strategies, budget allocation, and performance standards across paid, organic, email, and events — while empowering the team to execute. • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Customer Experience, and senior leadership to keep messaging sharp, technically accurate, and differentiated — translating ZeroTier's capabilities into content and campaigns that open doors in identified target markets. • Manage, hold accountable, and coach a small but talented marketing team, setting priorities, maintaining execution quality, and making sure every piece of content and every campaign hits both workflow and content quality before going live.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, including 4+ years in a marketing leadership role at a SaaS, networking, cybersecurity, or related technology company.
  • Strong expertise in SEO/AEO strategy, including technical SEO, content optimization, schema markup, structured data, and a strong working knowledge of how AI-powered answer engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) extract, analyze, surface, and rank content.
  • Demonstrated track record of owning and growing top-of-funnel metrics — IQLs, MQLs, and SQL or PQL conversion — with a data-driven approach to optimization.
  • Strong experience managing a marketing team, including hiring, goal-setting, performance management, and hands-on coaching.
  • Solid knowledge of HubSpot (or equivalent marketing automation and CRM tools), attribution modeling, funnel analytics, and multi-channel reporting.
  • Proven experience designing and orchestrating multi-channel demand generation programs including content, email, paid, events, and partner marketing.
  • Familiarity with ABSM strategies, intent data platforms, and account-based targeting in enterprise or mid-market SaaS environments.
  • Ability to engage at both strategic and tactical levels — comfortable setting direction in the board room and working alongside the team on execution.
  • Good familiarity of networking and/or cybersecurity concepts (VPNs, SD-WAN, Zero Trust, SASE, AI security, encryption) or demonstrated ability to quickly build technical fluency in complex B2B categories.
  • Excellent marketing narrative skills, with the ability to translate technical value propositions into compelling messaging for diverse audiences.
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex GTM topics into plain language for stakeholders and peers.
  • Ability to represent the company at industry events, partner forums, and customer meetings with travel as needed (domestic and international).
  • Knowledge of additional languages (ex. Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Japanese, Korean) is also a plus.

Benefits

  • Hybrid office / remote work environment
  • Competitive salary and available equity compensation
  • Generous employer-paid health insurance, including preventative dental care for adults
  • 401K Plan with employer matching
  • Flexible PTO policy
  • Flexible work hours (on management approval)
  • Career enhancement funds
  • Employee Referral Bonus
