Role Description The Premium Billing Treasury Analyst is responsible for executing payment processing, reconciliation, and treasury-related functions within Premium Billing operations. This role ensures that funds received from clients are accurately and timely transmitted to carriers while maintaining precise financial records. The Premium Billing Treasury Analyst works closely with clients, carriers, and internal teams to reconcile payments, resolve discrepancies, and support overall billing and treasury operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the premium billing payment lifecycle. Key Responsibilities - Payment Processing & Treasury Execution - Audit and prepare weekly payments received and create NACHA files for carrier payments. - Prepare debit files for Premium Billing and Boost clients, including applicable fees. - Process wire transfers, check requests, and vendor payments in accordance with payment schedules. - Prepare and execute carrier payments based on coverage schedules and billing timelines. - Reconciliation & Financial Accuracy - Reconcile incoming client payments with outgoing carrier payments to ensure alignment and accuracy. - Perform daily quality control of customer payments and investigate discrepancies. - Track and manage payment activity, including splitting out mixed payments and required allocations. - Maintain accurate payment logs and reporting records. - Issue Resolution & Client/Carrier Support - Research and resolve payment discrepancies, including collaborating with clients and carriers. - Communicate payment issues and discrepancies to appropriate internal teams for resolution. - Respond to inquiries from clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders related to payment activity. - Monitor Treasury-related inbox and ensure timely responses to requests. - Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with Premium Billing, Customer Success, and Accounting teams to support billing and payment operations. - Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency between billing data and payment execution. - Support client onboarding and implementation activities related to billing and payment setup. - Operational Support & Continuous Improvement - Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency of treasury and billing operations. - Identify opportunities to improve workflows, tracking, and automation of payment processes. - Contribute to maintaining consistency, accuracy, and process adherence across treasury functions. - Documentation & Governance - Maintain accurate documentation of payment processes, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolutions. - Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial processes, and operational procedures. - Track and document all payment activity in accordance with established standards. - Additional Responsibilities - Assist with other duties and projects as required, including billing and treasury process enhancements. - Participate in open enrollment and high-volume billing cycles as needed. - Perform additional duties as assigned by management. - AI-Enabled Support & Continuous Improvement - Use AI-enabled tools to analyze payment trends, discrepancies, and reconciliation patterns to improve accuracy and efficiency. - Apply AI assistance to support documentation, reporting, and issue research. - Identify opportunities to improve treasury workflows through automation and tooling. - Contribute to continuous improvement of billing, payment, and reconciliation processes.
