Role Description Job Summary Reporting to the Treasury Customer Section Co-Chief, Global Markets and Treasury Department Americas Division-Marketing Group, the Sales Analyst provides support for marketing and customer support functions. Scope Within the Global Markets and Treasury Department Americas Division-Marketing Group, the Sales Analyst role is transaction oriented and typically has limited participation in strategic decision-making. Consults in both English and Japanese, with senior management on complex transactions and related issues. Role Objectives The job responsibilities are described herein: - Complies with all FRB, State and Federal regulations. - Service SMBC's FX and Money Market customers in North America, Japan and Latin America as needed. - Interact with customers to understand their needs and concerns and communicate feedback to desk; increase frequency and substance of client communications with the business (conference calls, in-person meetings). - Interact with other SMBC departments including Corporate Banking, Settlement and Operations, Tax, and Legal to ensure a high level of communication and collaboration in both English and Japanese. - Transact Money Market and FX transactions via phone, email, and e-platforms. - Support colleagues as needed.
