Senior Supplier Performance Engineer – Electrical

Westinghouse Electric Company

• Perform On-site and Remote supplier oversight activities to ensure Westinghouse technical and quality requirements are achieved. • Develop and implement Supplier Oversight Plans to guide on-time completion of critical document submittals and manufacturing activities. • Identify and escalate supplier risks. • Drive prompt resolution of issues by issuing communications and coordinating activities with all partners. • Monitor supplier performance metrics, such as On-Time Delivery, Quality issues, and Deviation Notices, for assigned suppliers. • This monitoring helps to identify negative performance trends. • Implement Causal Analysis (RCA), Corrective & Preventive Actions, and Supplier Improvement Plans to reduce issues. • Evaluate procurement (supplier) risk, soliciting partner input, and using tools to develop security of Supply Risk Mitigation Plans. • Provide regular progress reports to the team Partners (Project Manager, Program Director) and the SPE Leadership team. • Perform Technical Evaluations of our suppliers to assess manufacturing capability, capacity, process controls, compliance with applicable regulations, codes & standards, and any associated risks. • Identify gaps between supplier capabilities and Westinghouse Technical / Quality requirements to establish and implement Development Plans. • Lead Supplier Development and Qualification activities, Supplier Improvement projects, and Cost Reduction efforts.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical/Automation Engineering or similar
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in Engineering/Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge in manufacturing processes: electromechanical assembly, printed circuit boards, cable assemblies and harnesses, electrical cabinets, sensors, molding, testing, and inspection.
  • Experience performing Supplier Evaluation/Qualification.
  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans (Inspection and Test Plans), PFMEAs.
  • Project Management Experience: leading multiple, concurrent, projects.
  • Familiarity and experience with IPC / IEEE / ASME standards (norms, codes, technical specifications, drawings).
  • IPC or NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Certifications preferred.
  • Experience with nuclear products and standards desired.
  • 30% travel domestic and internationally is expected

Role Description Meade is seeking an accomplished Principal Electrical Engineer to lead complex electrical design efforts across a portfolio of high-profile projects. This role requires both technical depth and strategic leadership, with a focus on data centers, industrial facilities, and other large commercial developments. The Principal Electrical Engineer will serve as a technical authority, project leader, and mentor, ensuring the successful delivery of innovative, code-compliant, and cost-effective solutions. This position involves regular collaboration with Meade staff, clients, vendors, contractors, and other engineering disciplines. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) for electrical design on major projects, setting technical direction and ensuring design excellence. - Perform and oversee complex electrical system design and calculations for power distribution, lighting, standby generation, and control systems. - Review, sign, and seal engineering drawings and specifications. - Provide quality assurance and technical oversight for submittals, RFIs, change orders, record drawings, and construction administration. - Conduct site observations, inspections, and participate in commissioning activities. - Develop and maintain technical standards, guidelines, and best practices for electrical design. - Write and edit equipment specifications, select systems and devices, and coordinate with other design disciplines. - Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and on-time delivery. - Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineering staff. - Support business development and client engagement, including technical presentations and proposal input.
