Role Description Meade is seeking an accomplished Principal Electrical Engineer to lead complex electrical design efforts across a portfolio of high-profile projects. This role requires both technical depth and strategic leadership, with a focus on data centers, industrial facilities, and other large commercial developments. The Principal Electrical Engineer will serve as a technical authority, project leader, and mentor, ensuring the successful delivery of innovative, code-compliant, and cost-effective solutions. This position involves regular collaboration with Meade staff, clients, vendors, contractors, and other engineering disciplines. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) for electrical design on major projects, setting technical direction and ensuring design excellence. - Perform and oversee complex electrical system design and calculations for power distribution, lighting, standby generation, and control systems. - Review, sign, and seal engineering drawings and specifications. - Provide quality assurance and technical oversight for submittals, RFIs, change orders, record drawings, and construction administration. - Conduct site observations, inspections, and participate in commissioning activities. - Develop and maintain technical standards, guidelines, and best practices for electrical design. - Write and edit equipment specifications, select systems and devices, and coordinate with other design disciplines. - Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and on-time delivery. - Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineering staff. - Support business development and client engagement, including technical presentations and proposal input. Qualifications - 8+ years of professional electrical engineering design experience in the construction industry. - Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. - Professional Engineer (PE) license (Electrical) required and in good standing. - Demonstrated experience acting as Engineer of Record (EOR) for electrical systems. - Proven experience leading electrical design for data centers, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, or similar large-scale projects. - Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing and mentoring engineering teams. - In-depth knowledge of NFPA Standards, NEC, and international and national building codes. - Advanced expertise in power distribution, standby and emergency systems, and generator control systems. - Demonstrated experience producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies. - Proficiency with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specification preferred. - Strategic thinker with the ability to influence technical direction and support long-range organizational goals. - Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills. - Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM, and Revit. • Assist in the design and engineering of Battery Energy Storage Systems, DC systems and MV power systems such as switchgear and distribution equipment. • Support the preparation and execution of system studies including ampacity, load flow, short circuit analysis, and loss studies. • Work with project teams to support the preparation, scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of engineering project activities. • Assist in interpreting client needs and project requirements and translating them into engineering solutions. • Review manufacturer equipment drawings and technical specifications. • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and quality assurance policies. • Assist in performing quality control checks on engineering deliverables including drawings, calculations, and studies. • Support review of engineering deliverables and assist in implementing corrective actions when required. • Coordinate with designers and drafters to ensure drawings meet engineering requirements. • Work with team on changing trends in technology

• Support the engineering and design of high-voltage substation Protection & Control systems for AIS and GIS substations • Prepare and Review protection and control design drawings including single lines, three lines, DC schematics, communication schematics and wiring • Prepare and review engineering deliverables • Ensure work complies with applicable industry standards including IEEE, NERC, NEC, NESC, and client-specific requirements • Support project planning and execution by contributing to schedules, deliverables, and technical coordination • Develop relay settings and protection philosophy • Provide detailed QA/QC for P&C design packages • Provide training to junior P&C engineer and designers • Attending FAT, inspections, and provide site support as needed • Assist with utility coordination and interconnection processes for renewable energy projects including solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems

• Develop and review physical substation design deliverables including equipment layouts, grounding systems, bus configurations, conduit and cable schedules, and general arrangement drawings • Perform engineering calculations to support substation design (grounding analysis, cable sizing, voltage drop, equipment ratings) • Support substation equipment selection and vendor drawing review • Prepare and review construction design packages and technical documentation • Coordinate with internal teams including engineers, designers, and project managers to support project execution and resolve issues • Perform quality control and quality checking on project deliverables, including drawings and studies • Support multiple projects while maintaining schedule and quality standards • Ensure designs comply with industry codes and standards (IEEE, NEC, NESC, ANSI) • Occasionally travel and complete site visits
