CAD Designer – BESS
RRC
• Collaborate with internal and external multi-disciplinary teams to create precise electrical engineering designs for utility-scale BESS projects. • Create detailed designs in 2-D and 3-D using primarily AutoCAD Civil 3-D software and prepare drawings per project specifications & client requirements. • Create site plans, single line diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment elevation drawings for BESS electrical drawing packages. • Work in AutoCAD C3D to create site model layouts by creating geolocated electrical base files, while ensuring coordination with internal and external multidisciplinary groups, referencing each other’s work. • Ensure that all project drawings adhere to RRC internal standards, relevant industry regulations, codes and best practices. • Ability to review and understand equipment specification sheets and determine requirements for BESS electrical systems. • Participate in efforts to improve quality and aesthetics of BESS team final products by participating in electrical team and multi-disciplinary efforts to improve and advance department and RRC standards, best-practices, SOP’s, and other documentation. • Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress reports to managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders. • Maintains high ethical and professional standards within the organization and in nurturing relationships with clients. • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or similar engineering technology, or related degree, or equivalent professional experience.
- 4+ years of engineering design with the use of AutoCAD C3D, or other relevant experience.
- Physical design experience required, excellent special awareness and ability to visualize 3-D reality while designing often in 2-D space.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD required, preferred experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, and proficient understanding and use of geographic systems and/or GIS software.
- Knowledge of low to medium voltage electrical power systems required.
- Must possess strong technical verbal communication and technical writing skills.
- Assists with design development by effectively communicating with internal engineers and external clients as it pertains to specific design related aspects.
- Communicate effectively in collaborative online meetings and communications using Microsoft Teams and Outlook for e-mail.
- Must be able to read and understand technical literature and specification sheets, determine valuable information required to complete complex design.
- Must be able to read and understand engineering plans, dimensioned drawings, single line diagrams and other types of engineering details.

Role Description Frima is looking for a Lead Game Designer to help take its design team to the next level. What your weeks are going to look like: - Determine and implement the most appropriate technical and conceptual approaches to achieve the project’s vision while adhering to production constraints (technical, budgetary, and time-related). - Organize and lead regular meetings with the team to monitor progress, anticipate risks, and verify adherence to deadlines. - Monitor the development of deliverables and ensure that standards for quality, consistency, and playability are met. - Motivate, guide, and support the direct team by providing coaching through ongoing feedback. - Build a relationship of trust with the partner and serve as the primary point of contact within your area of expertise. - Participate in project reviews and post-mortems to continuously improve processes and deliverables. - Collaborate with the studio-wide Design team to develop and share best design practices. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in video game design or another degree related to the position, combined with experience deemed equivalent. - A minimum of five (5) years of experience in game design. - Experience as a Lead Game Designer or in a similar role. - Proficiency with the Unreal Engine. - Excellent understanding of the synergy between game mechanics, narrative, and visuals. - Excellent knowledge of the various stages involved in creating a video game and the technical constraints specific to the video game industry. - Bilingual (English/French). - Willing to travel internationally as needed.
