• Create a business development plan to identify, evaluate, and structure key transactions to ensure continued financial health and maximum value new partnerships. • Develop and implement a relationship management plan for potential customer accounts to identify and build relationships with relevant decision-makers and influencers within the customer organization and to enable effective two-way flow of information and resolution of issues. • Guide a complex area or process on corporate sponsorship identification. • Contribute to stakeholder engagement by identifying stakeholders; by finding out their needs, issues, and concerns; and by reacting to these needs, issues, and concerns, arranging meetings and events and drafting supporting materials to promote understanding and commitment. • Develop a personal network within assigned territory and represent the organization at trade shows and other events to identify sales opportunities, promote the organization, and enhance its reputation. • Use personal expertise to identify the complex standard services offered by the organization that meets the customer's needs. • Use of Salesforce to manage prospect activity, track sales pipeline performance, and maintain accurate prospect and opportunity records throughout the sales cycle. • Create and customize sales materials to effectively describe and define concepts and programs and how they strategically align. • Ensure the application of brand guidelines and brand templates and inform the organization of the importance of brand alignment and positioning. • Build collaborative relationships in an environment, focusing on building internal and external networks that facilitate collaboration and partnerships across the value chain.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in business, non-profit, administration, or similar field.
- 2-5 years relevant experience in non-profit fundraising or business development.
- Experience building strong relationships, advance strategic opportunities, and successfully close meaningful, high-impact partnerships.
- Proficiency with Salesforce (or comparable CRM platform), including pipeline management, opportunity tracking, reporting, forecasting, and maintaining accurate customer relationship data.
- Proficiency with Asana (or comparable project management platform), including project planning, task management, stakeholder coordination, deadline tracking, and ensuring the successful execution of cross-functional initiatives.
- Track record of securing six-figure and high-value sponsorship or partnership agreements, including opportunities valued at $50,000 or greater.
- Experience managing a robust sales or business development pipeline with annual revenue responsibility of $250,000–$500,000+, including prospect cultivation, forecasting, negotiation, and account growth.
