Secondary Math Teacher
Connections Academy
• Manage instructional programs virtually from home • Consult regularly with learning coaches and students • Complete grading and create progress reports • Conduct parent conferences • Support instructional program with web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction • Review curriculum and present lessons to increase understanding • Communicate with parents, students, and teachers • Develop Personal Learning Plans and schedules • Score assessments and provide feedback on student work • Collaborate with other teachers • Develop knowledge of K-12 curriculum • Support students and parents with strategies • Keep records and data up-to-date • Coordinate activities and field trips • Manage regional field trips • Participate in student recruitment and marketing efforts • Attend training sessions and activities • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Highly qualified and certified to teach Secondary Math in Missouri
- Experience with Professional Learning Communities
- Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Customer focused approach
- High degree of flexibility
- Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment
- Team player track record
- Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel)
- Ability to work remotely, if necessary
- Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families
- Must be able to use a personal electronic device and email address for 2-step authentication.
