• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of toxicologists across multiple projects and geographies • Ensure scientific rigor, quality assurance, and defensibility across all deliverables • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture aligned with J.S. Held’s consulting standards • Provide oversight and guidance on complex, high-profile engagements • Serve as a consulting and testifying expert in litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters • Lead and deliver toxicological risk assessments, exposure assessments, and product safety evaluations • Interpret complex toxicological, epidemiological, and exposure data to generate clear, defensible opinions • Support mass torts, environmental exposure cases, product liability matters, and occupational health disputes • Originate, grow, and maintain client relationships across legal, corporate, and regulatory sectors • Lead business development activities, including opportunity identification, scoping, pricing, and proposal development • Support the growth and expansion of toxicology services across the U.S. and international markets • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate toxicology into broader disputes, investigations, and compliance offerings • Contribute to thought leadership, including publications, conference presentations, and client briefings

• Successful candidates will forge new divisions, make inroads with our patrons, and define best practices. • Provide strategic oversight while onboarding patrons, ingesting documents, supporting/clarifying functionality. • Work closely with other delivery teams. • Serve as the primary point of contact for all service-related needs of Copia's clients. • Work in a complex, team-oriented, fast-paced environment alongside the Copia team, patrons, and 3rd party partners.

• Build pricing and underwriting models and analyses to guide new deal pricing and review of existing pricing arrangements. • Perform detailed medical cost, utilization, and trend analyses to support rate development and pricing recommendations. • Evaluate profitability of quotes, renewals, and book-level performance relative to pricing assumptions. • Track performance of existing contracts. • Support evaluation of risk and pricing strategies for new and existing products through multiple scenarios, such as base, downside and upside cases. • Analyze and assess the integrity of the data being used for underwriting. • Identify and recommend mechanisms and contract terms that mitigate known and unknown risks and uncertainties. • Partner with operations, medical economics / business analytics, product, sales, account management and others as appropriate, including providing guidance during the proposal, diligence and contracting phases regarding data and analytics requirements to ensure strong underwriting can be achieved, along with maximizing outcomes and minimizing risk. • Maintain data integrity and accuracy in pricing and underwriting databases. • Perform additional duties as assigned.
