Technical Surveyor – Claims/Insurance

• Helping people whose homes have been damaged by an event • Assisting businesses whose operations have been disrupted and individuals whose projects have been unintentionally affected • Independent handling and settlement of property and liability claims with a focus on building damage (structural and civil engineering) • Conducting on-site inspections and damage assessments • Independently preparing expert reports, assessments and statements • Assessing causes of damage, extent of damage and remediation costs • Coordinating and liaising with all relevant parties (insurers, policyholders, service providers, other experts, etc.) • Ensuring quality- and customer-oriented claims handling
Job Requirements
- Degree in engineering (e.g., civil engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering), state-certified technician or equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in one of the above fields
- Solid knowledge of building damage
- Good knowledge of building construction and civil engineering is an advantage
- Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
- Independent and structured working style
- Strong communication skills and customer orientation
- Driver’s license class B
