Role Description This position is contingent upon contract award. SOSi is seeking a Jr. Geospatial Research Analyst to support mission requirements for a structured approach to further develop, integrate, and sustain a scalable, federated data ecosystem that enhances interoperability, governance, and mission-driven analytics for a DoD customer. The primary objective of the program is to bridge the operational gaps between DoD, IC, interagency, and non-traditional international partners to enable real-time information sharing, dynamic data integration, and mission-tailored analytical capabilities. Essential Job Duties: - Assist in data acquisition, geospatial layer management, and quality control of GIS datasets. - Perform metadata tagging, source verification, and initial processing of geospatial research inputs. - Support dashboard updates, map production, and research documentation efforts. - Contribute to the Geospatial Data Readiness Report, summarizing data preprocessing efforts and metadata alignment. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in progress or completed in Geography, Geospatial Science, GIS, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics or a closely related field; or - A minimum of two (2) years of experience producing geospatial analytic products in these fields of study or supporting DoD geospatial and all-source analysis, research, and production. - Possess the expertise, knowledge, and capability to apply geospatial analytics and all-source intelligence methodologies, theories, and frameworks; and AI/ML, data quality, enrichment, and stewardship processes and techniques to research to: - Produce geospatial and all-source intelligence analytic products. - Steward data using NIST, DoD, IC regulations, policies, and best practices. - Produce and curate country and regional pages on program. - Understand analytic requirements. - Use Esri ArcGIS analytic tools (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS REST API) and other data steward tools, catalogs, techniques, and processes to produce and manage data.
