Frontend Developer

Third and Grove

• Build pixel-accurate, accessible, responsive interfaces from Figma designs • Write clean, handcrafted CSS/SCSS using modern layout primitives — and reach for a framework only when a project genuinely calls for it • Develop interactive UI in Vanilla JavaScript, plus React/Next where it fits • Wire your front-end work into Contentful, Drupal, and WordPress, ramping into each platform quickly • Lean on AI tooling (Claude) to squash bugs faster and scaffold the repetitive parts of a build so you can focus on the craft • Contribute to feature development and bug crushing across several concurrent projects • Participate in code reviews and hold the line on front-end best practices for performance, accessibility, and maintainability • Partner with designers, project managers, and backend developers to turn requirements into shippable features • Flag blockers early and estimate your own work realistically so releases stay on track

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years building modern, responsive web user interfaces
  • Strong vanilla JavaScript fundamentals, plus working proficiency with React/Next
  • Expertise in modern CSS/SCSS best practices (semantic, maintainable, accessible)
  • Comfortable building from Figma — interpreting design files, components, tokens, and specs
  • Familiar with modern animation libraries
  • Familiar with modern front-end build/bundling tooling (e.g. Vite, esbuild, Webpack)
  • Working knowledge of git
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of Contentful, Drupal, or WordPress
  • Knowledge of PHP
  • Comfortable using AI coding tools (Claude) to debug and scaffold
