• Forecast future material needs based on production plans, demand signals, and market trends. • Develop and implement materials management strategies to optimize inventory levels and cost control across the enterprise. • Establish documented materials management standard work and procedures; train and develop site-level materials managers and planners on consistent execution. • Implement and optimize inventory management approaches (e.g., MRP, KPIs) to drive optimal stock levels and reorder points. • Lead sites to improve cycle counting accuracy, improve physical inventory absolute and net variances, and improve days-on-hand (DOH) and inventory turns to plan. • Serve as the business owner for the ERP system(s) supporting materials management, acting as the primary liaison between materials/operations teams and IT. • Own ERP configuration, master data integrity, and module functionality (e.g., MRP, inventory, procurement) related to materials management. • Identify, prioritize, and lead continuous improvement initiatives for materials-related processes and systems, including automation and workflow enhancements. • Lead ERP upgrades, enhancements, and new module rollouts impacting materials management; manage testing, validation, and change management for affected sites. • Develop and maintain ERP training materials and standard work; train site-level materials managers and planners on system best practices. • Partner with IT and site teams to troubleshoot system issues, recommend solutions, and ensure consistent ERP usage across all sites. • Analyze material costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction. • Analyze material substitution processes to ensure they are effective and properly controlled. • Analyze scrap reporting processes to ensure they are accurate, timely, and effective. • Work closely with production planning, operations, finance, and sales teams to align material needs with business objectives. • Communicate material status updates and potential supply chain disruptions to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading multi-site materials strategy deployment and management across a manufacturing network.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in materials management at the site/plant level.
- Proven experience in materials management, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proven experience owning or administering ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics) within a materials management or supply chain function.
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize costs.
- Excellent communication skills to manage relationships with materials and operations team members.
- Leadership abilities to manage a team of materials specialists or planner/buyers.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field; MBA a plus.
- Experience in a Tier 1 automotive / industrial manufacturing environment.
- APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional and cross-site standardization initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with ERP system administration, configuration, or implementation projects.

Role Description The GIS Coordinator is responsible for planning, analysis, visualization, and surveillance activities related to communicable diseases, health conditions, healthcare resources, accessibility, and public health preparedness. This role serves as the team lead and primary point of contact for the Public Health Geographics team within the Office of Data & Analytics. The ideal candidate will possess strong GIS expertise, project management capabilities, stakeholder engagement experience, and the ability to develop innovative geospatial solutions that support public health initiatives across the state.
