Senior Manager – Architect
EXL
• Develop new designs, architectures, best practices, templates, standards, guidelines, models in direct support of 1 and 5 year payer market strategy and business growth targets. • Create application and database architectures for optimal scaling, configurability, compliance and modular re-use in both cloud (Azure and AWS, Databricks, SqlServer) and on-prem (Windows, dotNET) platforms. • Incorporate the latest in AI LLM approaches to augment the productivity, quality and efficacy of transactional applications and blending of unstructured data with structured data. • Assess existing applications and databases for scalability. Develop solutions for performance bottlenecks and growth. • Evaluate new AppDev technologies. • Develop various POC’s for new applications, services and application components showcasing innovative approaches to scalable data architectures. • Evaluate business processes - manual and automated and recommend solutions for improved productivity, quality, flexibility, throughput. • Assist in business proposal development and presentation to management and customers. • Mentor, train and provide expert assistance to development teams. • Production Support - Level 3 as needed. • Assist in project planning and AGILE methodology implementation and daily planning and execution activities. • Act as the tech voice in executive meetings, cross-functional governance sessions, and client-facing solution presentations.
Job Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in software technology
- 5+ years in a senior product/platform leadership capacity
- Prior experience launching 2 or more successful long running enterprise-scale platforms in a regulated, data-intensive industry
- Bachelor’s in computer science
- Master’s in computer science and/or business management (preferred)
- Strong business and domain acumen in U.S. healthcare systems (preferred)
- Strong command over U.S. healthcare payer domain—especially in claims processing, adjudication, and payment integrity (preferred)
- Regulatory familiarity: HIPAA, CMS audit requirements, healthcare data interoperability (preferred)
- Proven success building platforms that scale across large healthcare client portfolios (preferred)
- Experience modernizing legacy systems into modular, API-first, scalable platforms (preferred)
