• Exert significant influence over Nostra's long-term goals and execution. • Collaborate with executive leadership and teams across the organization to define initiatives and the technical roadmap. • Ensure alignment of OKR-level goals across the organization. • Author technical vision artifacts with a long-term horizon (>1 year) and assist teams in translating this vision into actionable backlogs. • Plan improvements and features with a 6-month view, driving significant enhancements in customer satisfaction, ease of onboarding, and technical efficiency. • Drive and oversee the research, development, and design of engineering projects. • Solve technical problems of the highest scope, complexity, and ambiguity. • Ship extremely high-impact features and improvements with minimal guidance. • Provide mentorship for engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. • Serve as a point of escalation for sub-department teams facing complex technical challenges. • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve our systems and products.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong background in building and scaling multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Typescript (preferred), Python, Javascript.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Cloudflare), infrastructure as code (e.g., Pulumi), and data storage solutions (e.g., Postgres, Snowflake).
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable, distributed systems.
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools and SQL.
- Demonstrated experience in optimizing website performance and speed.
- Strong understanding of browser optimization techniques, including the use of web workers, lazy loading, code splitting, and other strategies to improve front-end performance.
- Familiarity with content delivery networks (e.g., Cloudflare), DNS, message queues (e.g., SQS, Kinesis), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and organization, and a collaborative mindset.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
