Transcription Specialist – Amharic

• Listen to audio recordings and create accurate written transcripts of what is spoken. • Transcribing audio recordings into text with high accuracy. • Capturing speech exactly as spoken, including pauses, filler words (e.g., "uh," "um"), repetitions, and incomplete sentences. • Adding timestamps to match the audio. • Identifying and labeling different speakers in conversations. • Marking non-speech events such as laughter, background noise, or unclear audio. • Ensuring high-quality transcription output through attention to detail and strong listening skills.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of and familiarity with spelling conventions in Amharic language.
  • Can be located anywhere, but must be fluent in Ethiopian dialect.
  • Good reading comprehension skills in English.
  • Stable internet connection.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to review examples and apply rules to the provided data.
  • Prior experience with transcription.
  • Prior experience with audio data.
  • Access to a PC/laptop or an iPad.
