Role Description We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Director of Data to join our rapidly growing Data Science team. In this role, you will: - Lead experimentation: Design and evaluate A/B tests, multivariate tests, and other causal frameworks to inform product and marketing decisions. - Build a culture of learning: Champion a test-and-learn mindset across the company and enable others to generate hypotheses and iterate rapidly. - Partner cross-functionally: Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, B2B, Finance, Growth, and Engineering to frame questions, prioritize analysis, and deliver clear, actionable insights. - Own data-driven decision-making: Develop and refine key metrics, define success criteria, and surface tradeoffs. - Deliver insights: Conduct deep dives on user behavior, funnel conversion, retention, pricing, and feature adoption. Also, inform the business on insights for pipeline trends, learner behavior etc. - Enable scale: Work hands-on with data pipelines, define experimentation frameworks, and contribute to analytics infrastructure. Qualifications - 5-8+ years of experience in Data Science, Decision Science, or Analytics roles, ideally in consumer tech and SaaS. - Proven experience running and analyzing experiments at scale (A/B testing, Bayesian methods, uplift modeling, etc.). - Strong SQL and Python (or R) skills; comfort with data modeling and visualization (e.g., dbt, Looker, Mode, Tableau). - Deep understanding of statistics, causal inference, and hypothesis-driven analysis. - A storyteller: can distill complex data into simple, compelling narratives that drive action. - Prior leadership experience or readiness to build and lead a small but mighty team. - Bonus: exposure to product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Looker), marketing data, or growth analytics. - English proficiency.
