However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. • Provide technical structuring for infrastructure and pavement projects and requests • Analyze scopes, contracts, technical reports/specifications and other technical documentation • Organize and standardize engineering processes and documentation • Ensure technical compliance and adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements • Provide technical support for projects involving non-destructive testing (NDT) • Provide technical support for contracts that have already been executed or commercialized • Prepare, review, and control technical documentation • Manage multiple simultaneous tasks with organization and attention to detail

• Propose and implement mitigations and defense-in-depth to threats discovered through threat modeling the virtualization stack (90%) • Provide deep technical expertise in systems architecture, kernel security features and network architecture to build out a threat model for our virtualization stack • Identify the trade-offs of different solutions and recommend the efficient design to achieve both functional goals and security requirements • Collaborate with development teams to implement remediations and defense in-depth to protect DigitalOcean’s customers’ workloads • Cultivate and promote a security culture (10%) • Mentor software engineering teams in security best practices • Help oversee our vulnerability management program

Role Description Due to increased demand for our Electronic Design Services, Optimum (an Emerald Technologies company) is currently seeking passionate Principal H/W Design Engineers that are well versed in circuit design of Digital, Analog, and Power technologies to join our world-class design team working from home. As a Principal H/W Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design of electronic hardware and software that meet our customers’ quality and delivery requirements. - Apply independence and creativity to drive project design scope and deliverables. - Develop Functional Design Specifications. - Circuit design: Digital, Analog, and Power. - PCIe, DDR, Microprocessor, DSP, etc. - I2C, SPI, PCIe, DDR3+, Ethernet, USB, CSI, DSI, etc. - Analog/RF experience is a plus. - BLE and/or WiFi experience a plus. - Schematic Capture and Layout Review/Guidance/Management. - Pre&Post Signal and Power Integrity analysis (optional). - FPGA and CPLD design (Verilog, VHDL). - FPGA test benches and verification (ModelSim, Xilinx, Altera, etc.). - Develop test plans/methods to ensure product reliability and performance targets are met. - Prototype bring up and system integration. - Working knowledge of EMC/CE/UL compliance requirements. - Software and Firmware development. Qualifications - 10+ years of experience. - BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required. - Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). - Expert user of one or more of the following tools: Siemens DxDesigner (preferred), Altium and Xpedition-DxDesigner. - Application of formal project management and system engineering methodologies to development of complex, high performance electronics systems. - Work history in aerospace/defense market a plus.
