Role Description As a Senior QE Lead, you are responsible for ensuring software product quality through the design, execution, and documentation of manual and automated tests within the QE organization. You will work cross-functionally to improve the quality of our software, and do so with clear communication, efficient program planning, and deep focus on overall project execution. You'll play a critical role in ensuring that Airbnb delivers high quality products. - Be accountable for planning and execution of the QE team's priorities. - Work with QE leadership to define, launch, and execute multiple strategic and operational initiatives in service of the above priorities. - Ensure quality is consistent across all projects and is represented during project planning, development, and launches. - Drive the adoption of automated testing as a key strategic lever for ensuring efficient and effective testing. - Clearly communicate program status and progress to large groups of project stakeholders and senior leadership. - Effectively manage change by influencing and communicating with key stakeholders. - Anticipate risks associated with change management, and ensure creative and effective mitigations are available. - In collaboration with Product teams, identify opportunities and advocate for product improvements and/or tools that support the team's strategy and the needs of the customer. - Work to quickly become well-versed in the engineering team's product/domain space. - Coordinate and collaborate with 3rd party vendors and QE counterparts. - Regularly assess project risks and opportunities. - Leverage best practices and continually drive process improvements, but work creatively to drive execution and simplification. Qualifications - 10+ years of software quality assurance experience, with a proven track record of quality delivery. - Experience with partnering with Quality Engineering teams to help advance test automation. - Strong people leadership skills, including hiring, performance management, career development, and building a strong, happy team. - Proactive communication and interpersonal skills; strong stakeholder management. - Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, managing ambiguity and uncertainty. - Ability to anticipate risks & issues and proactively mitigate them. - Experience using collaborative project management tools and processes (e.g. JIRA, Asana, Smartsheets, Google Docs, scrum, agile). - Passion for building and delivering high quality software. Location This position is US – Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. While the position is Remote Eligible, you must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity. Benefits - Base pay range: $132,000 — $154,000 USD. - This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

• Plan, execute, and document internal and external penetration tests against ISC2 applications, networks, cloud environments, and infrastructure. • Perform vulnerability assessments and validate findings to distinguish genuine risks from false positives. • Conduct web application, API, mobile, and network vulnerability assessments using industry-standard methodologies (OWASP, PTES, OSSTMM). • Perform social engineering assessments, including phishing simulations and physical security testing as authorized. • Produce clear, actionable written reports detailing findings, risk ratings, evidence, and remediation recommendations tailored to both technical and executive audiences. • Support red team exercises and adversary simulation activities to test detection and response capabilities. • Own remediation follow-through: translate pen test findings into security engineering work items, validate fixes, and track resolution to closure in Jira Service Management. • Design and implement security controls across ISC2’s cloud and on-premises environments, including hardening configurations for Azure, Okta, SentinelOne, CheckPoint, and F5 XD. • Maintain awareness of emerging vulnerabilities, exploits, and threat actor TTPs; operationalize threat intelligence into actionable hardening and detection improvements.
