• Design, build, and maintain a scalable enterprise data platform using Snowflake • Architect ingestion pipelines across clinical, financial, operational, scheduling, and inventory systems • Implement scalable ELT/ETL workflows and data transformation pipelines • Define platform standards for data governance, naming conventions, CI/CD workflows, environment management, testing and deployment strategies • Manage Snowflake architecture, RBAC, security, cost optimization, and performance tuning • Own the dbt ecosystem end-to-end • Build scalable dimensional and canonical data models • Develop reliable marts and semantic layers for analytics consumption • Implement robust testing, lineage, and documentation standards • Create reusable transformation logic and framework standards • Partner with finance, operations, and clinical leaders to deliver trusted Tableau dashboards and reporting layers • Build governed, self-service analytics capabilities • Optimize Tableau performance, row-level security, and published data sources • Translate ambiguous business questions into scalable technical solutions • Implement observability and monitoring solutions for data freshness, schema drift, pipeline failures, and anomaly detection • Establish governance standards for sensitive and healthcare-adjacent data • Improve trust and reliability across enterprise reporting • Serve as a technical standard-bearer for architecture and engineering best practices • Help shape the future structure of the data organization • Mentor future team members as the function grows

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Data Architecture and Database Management
  • Proven experience building and operating production-grade data platforms
  • Experience working with complex, multi-source enterprise datasets
  • Background supporting operational, financial, healthcare, or clinical data environments preferred
  • Advanced expertise with Snowflake, dbt, Tableau, SQL, Python
  • Experience with Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, Incremental modeling strategies, Data warehouse optimization, Semantic layer design
  • Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, Dagster
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, Data governance and security best practices
  • You are deeply technical and enjoy building systems yourself
  • You think architecturally and understand downstream data impacts
  • You thrive in high-autonomy, remote-first environments
  • You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • You balance speed, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Residing in Austin, Texas with easy access to our home office location.
  • Experience in veterinary healthcare, healthcare technology, or other regulated industries
  • Exposure to healthcare-adjacent compliance and governance environments
  • Experience building enterprise analytics ecosystems from early-stage or greenfield environments.
