Senior Software Engineer

Material Security

• Develop technology products using modern programming languages (e.g. Typescript) and technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, BigQuery) with a focus on security for Google Workspace and M365. • Implement modern secure SDLCs including version control (e.g. Git) and code reviews (pull requests). • Participate in technical design discussions for new features and systems, conducting research, and producing architecture documents as needed. • Engage in the engineering on-call rotation to support triaging and addressing bugs and reliability issues using monitoring and alerting software such as Sentry and Pager duty. • Support the customer support team by providing answers about the software and assisting with high-priority inbound customer requests.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related degrees and 3 years of experience in job offered or related occupations.
  • 1 year of experience in Agile development practices including experience with scrum, sprint planning, and iteration reviews.
  • 1.5 years of experience in Backend web development; Unit and integration testing; Triaging and addressing software production issues; Kubernetes; Node; GCP tooling such as BigQuery and DataStore; Test Driven Development; API Design; CI/CD Pipeline; Web Security best practices; Unit Tests; Integration Tests; Scalability; Responsive Design; ReactJS.
  • 2 years of experience in Frontend web development.
  • 3 years of experience in Data storage and querying; Git / Github; SQL.

About the Role As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and configuring low voltage switchgear (Sivacon S8) for our data center customers in the EMEA region. You will work in a close-knit team of experienced engineers and take ownership of the entire process—from design to factory testing and customer interaction during Factory Acceptance Tests. You will see the direct results of your work—from concept to physical panels. Our team consists of 24 colleagues, including 14 system engineers. Together, we deliver complex projects for international clients. The work is challenging and fast-paced but highly rewarding. You will be part of a supportive team where collaboration and expertise go hand in hand. Your Responsibilities - Design and configure electrical drawings, including SLDs, schematics, front views, and Bills of Materials. - Select components and prepare concepts for customized mechanical designs within switchgear assemblies. - Ensure all designs comply with customer specifications and international standards (e.g., IEC). - Configure electrical and mechanical designs using the configurator tools. - Collaborate closely with project managers, lead engineers, EPLAN engineers, manufacturing, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution. - Investigate and resolve technical issues during design, manufacturing, factory testing (FAT), and on-site commissioning, including performing Factory Witness Tests with customers. - Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization in design and manufacturing.
