Role Description As Account Manager, you are responsible for driving sustainable, long-term sales growth while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction across assigned accounts. You serve as the primary interface between the customer and the organization, managing relationships with key stakeholders across engineering, purchasing, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain functions. You own full commercial responsibility for your accounts, including business development, sales performance, and profitability. By coordinating internal cross-functional teams, you ensure timely execution, alignment with customer requirements, and delivery of value-based solutions. The role is accountable for achieving or exceeding sales and margin targets defined by the Sales Manager, strengthening strategic partnerships, and maintaining superior supplier performance ratings in a competitive and fast-evolving market. - Leads the direct sales process and achieving sales targets - Responsible for visits to current and potential clients - Leads the performing of routine account management activities - Submits short and long-range sales plans and prepares sales strategies utilizing available marketing programs to reach nominated targets - Ensures that clients receive high quality customer service Qualifications - A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience - Native German - Experience with OEM and/or Tier‑1 automotive customers in Germany, engaging at senior levels (Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Program Management) - Ownership of the automotive business lifecycle: RFQ participation, commercial input to nomination, SOP ramp‑up, series production, EOP phase‑out - Understanding of long‑cycle automotive sales: platform business, volume commitments, price erosion, indexation, margin management - Leading cross‑functional internal alignment (Product, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality) - Managing commercial negotiations in technical environments, including pricing, change management, recovery actions - Building and executing strategic account plans for sustainable growth and share‑of‑wallet expansion - Familiarity with German automotive customer culture and expectations - Willingness to travel regularly for customer engagement and program execution - Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands Benefits - Sensata offers a dynamic, commercial environment with direct exposure to leading global automotive OEMs and Tier 1 customers. - Account Managers play a key role in driving customer strategy, revenue growth, and long-term partnerships, with clear ownership of commercial performance across assigned accounts. - The role provides strong visibility within the organization and opportunities to collaborate with international, cross-functional teams throughout the full business and product lifecycle. - Native German language skills are critical to be successful, enabling effective communication, relationship building, and successful sales execution. - Sensata supports professional development through coaching, training and on-the-job learning, supported by competitive compensation and benefits aligned with the role and experience. Company Description Basic Salary Range: 74,400.00 EUR - 102,300.00 EUR The salary range is published in line with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and relevant country legislation. The starting salary offered will be based on objective, gender-neutral criteria (e.g internal equivalency, relevant skills, experience, qualifications etc.). • Build scaled enablement. Design and run one-to-many enablement: webinars, onboarding, certification paths, templates, and self-serve resources that activate partners efficiently and reduce the need for one-to-one handling. • Activate and grow partners. Drive license orders aligned to partner programs, ensure partners reach a successful first program delivery, and identify expansion as programs mature. Manage annual partner program renewals as well as deal registrations. • Go deeper selectively. With a self-selected subset of high-potential partners, run account mapping to surface enterprise opportunities, then evaluate and route referrals to AEs and support co-sell efforts. • Coordinate cross-functionally. Work across AE, CSM, Support, Marketing, and Finance to deliver for partners. Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene and partner data quality in HubSpot.
