• Plan and execute strategic Digital PR and Link Building campaigns (Data-driven PR, brand mentions, guest posts) aligned with clients' business goals and SEO objectives. • Build, nurture, and expand relationships with journalists, media outlets, niche influencers, and industry portals. • Create strategies to connect our clients with market opportunities, in collaboration with the client's PR team. • Develop creative, data-backed pitches that attract organic coverage and high-quality natural links. • Conduct outreach (active prospecting) and follow-up to secure publications and brand mentions. • Engage with publishers and industry outlets. • Analyze clients' (and competitors') link profiles to identify authority gaps and new acquisition opportunities. • Work in synergy with Content and Strategy teams, ensuring PR activities reinforce strategic pages and target terms. • Monitor PR and authority metrics (Domain Authority, Trust Flow, referral traffic, assisted conversions), prepare impact reports, and recommend continuous optimizations.
Job Requirements
- Proven prior experience (mid-level) in Digital PR, digital-focused press relations, or strategic Link Building.
- Understanding of how public relations directly impact SEO (authority building) and the emerging landscape of AI-powered answers (GEO).
- Excellent writing skills and persuasive argumentation (ability to sell a pitch to a journalist).
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to focus on how PR drives business impact.
- Autonomy to manage multiple campaigns and handle the dynamics of outreach and media negotiations.
- Strong organization and accountability for deadlines and client deliverables.

Role Description LMIC is seeking an experienced and proactive public relations and communications professional to support and strengthen the organization's growing PR function during an 18-month parental leave coverage term. This temporary full-time employee position offers an opportunity to play a key role in advancing LMIC's strategic communications, media relations, and stakeholder engagement efforts across Canada. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, this role will oversee day-to-day PR and media relations activities while contributing strategic recommendations, outreach opportunities, and process improvements that support LMIC’s broader communications objectives. The successful candidate will help position LMIC as a trusted and credible voice within the labour market information (LMI) ecosystem through media outreach, thought leadership, external communications, and stakeholder engagement activities. This includes translating complex research and labour market insights into clear, accessible, and engaging content for diverse audiences. This role requires someone who is highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment. The ideal candidate is confident managing competing priorities, identifying opportunities, and moving projects forward with minimal day-to-day direction while remaining aligned with organizational strategy and priorities. The position will work closely with internal subject matter experts, leadership, and external partners to support integrated communications campaigns, research dissemination, and external visibility efforts aligned with LMIC’s broader marketing and communications strategy.
