Role Description This position is within the Tolling Services team of Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Hungary. The team consists of IT professionals specializing in electronic road-charging solutions. Together with our partners, we develop and operate intelligent, kilometer-based tolling systems for international customers, covering the entire business process: - Vehicle registrations - Country booking - Providing On-Board Units - Position data transmission - Charge calculation - Fleet billing Leveraging digital intelligence and advanced technology, our tolling solutions facilitate seamless mobility across Europe. The team aims to enhance existing services and expand into new domains. As part of an international team collaborating with T-Systems International, you will play a key role in supporting our customers with cutting-edge tolling solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer - Monitoring to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust monitoring solutions to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our infrastructure and applications. You will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact our users. Main tasks What you'll do: - Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments with a primary focus on automation, reliability, and security. - Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform and other automation tools to provision and manage AWS and on-premises resources. - Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to enable secure, reliable, and efficient software delivery. - Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and operational processes using scripting and DevOps best practices. - Collaborate closely with development teams to improve platform reliability, deployment processes, and operational efficiency. - Implement and maintain observability solutions, including monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms. - Manage AWS services and cloud-native infrastructure components while ensuring security and compliance requirements are met. - Support containerized workloads and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Design and maintain networking components including firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and secure connectivity between cloud and on-premises environments. - Troubleshoot infrastructure, platform, and networking issues to ensure high availability and optimal system performance. - Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident response and continuous service improvement. - Stay up to date with emerging DevOps, cloud, automation, and security technologies and best practices. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a similar role. - Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures. - Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, preferably Terraform. - Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. - Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages. - Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or similar tools. - Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Solid knowledge of networking concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, and network security. - Familiarity with security best practices, IAM, encryption, and compliance requirements. - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, security, and development teams. Requirements - AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty, or similar). - Experience with DevSecOps practices and integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines. - Knowledge of security compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, or HIPAA. - Experience with SIEM platforms, vulnerability management, and security automation. - Familiarity with zero-trust architecture and micro-segmentation concepts. - German language skills.
