Role Description We're looking for an Affiliate Specialist to independently manage affiliate marketing programs for a portfolio of clients within our media agency team. This role sits at the intersection of affiliate strategy, program operations, and cross-channel collaboration, requiring someone with deep affiliate expertise who can own programs end-to-end while working closely with integrated planning, analytics, and other channel teams to deliver cohesive client campaigns. - Project Type: Contract - Hours: 25–30 hours per week - Rate: $42/hour - Role: Affiliate Specialist - Location: Remote (EST or CST hours required) The right candidate brings proven, hands-on affiliate marketing experience and can manage programs independently. They are highly organized, data-driven, and comfortable in a client-facing capacity while seamlessly collaborating with internal channel and analytics teams to ensure affiliate activity integrates with broader campaign strategies. Key Responsibilities - Affiliate Program Management: Independently own and manage affiliate marketing programs across an assigned portfolio of clients, including publisher recruitment, onboarding, activation, and ongoing relationship management. - Strategy & Planning: Develop affiliate strategies aligned to client goals, collaborating with the integrated planning team to ensure affiliate activity supports overall campaign objectives and media mix. - Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Track, analyze, and report on affiliate program KPIs; identify trends, surface insights, and implement optimizations to continuously improve program efficiency and ROI. - Publisher & Network Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for affiliate publishers and networks, negotiating placements and terms, resolving issues, and fostering strong, productive partnerships. - Cross-Channel Collaboration: Partner with analytics, integrated planning, paid media, and other channel teams to ensure affiliate programs are coordinated with broader campaign activity, with clear visibility into shared goals and dependencies. - Budget & Financial Tracking: Manage affiliate budgets and commission structures, monitor spend against estimates, reconcile payouts, and keep clients and internal stakeholders informed of financial status. - Client Communication & Reporting: Serve as a reliable day-to-day client contact for affiliate program updates, delivering clear, actionable reporting, managing expectations, and building trust through consistent follow-through. - Compliance: Ensure affiliate activity adheres to client brand guidelines, FTC disclosure requirements, and network policies; monitor for compliance issues and address them proactively. Qualifications - 3–5+ years of hands-on affiliate marketing experience, ideally within a media agency, advertising agency, or in-house brand environment managing programs at scale. - Demonstrated ability to independently manage affiliate programs end-to-end. - Familiarity with major affiliate networks and platforms and comfort navigating their respective tools and reporting interfaces. - Experience working within integrated campaign environments, collaborating with paid media, analytics, and planning teams to ensure affiliate activity aligns with broader channel strategies. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data, identify optimization opportunities, and communicate insights clearly to clients and internal stakeholders. - Experience managing affiliate budgets, commission structures, and payout reconciliation with a high degree of accuracy. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident in client-facing settings and able to discuss performance, strategy, and budget with clarity and composure. - Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple programs and workstreams simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines without close supervision. - CPG or retail industry experience is a plus.
