Fiber Optics Splicing Instructor – Project Based Instruction
NTT Training
• Responsible for teaching fiber optic installation, • Fusion splicing, • Ribbon splicing, • Testing, • Troubleshooting, • And broadband deployment practices to a variety of NTT's clients. • Instruction is delivered through classroom presentations, • Hands-on laboratory exercises, • And field-based demonstrations for telecommunications, • Broadband, • Utility, • Construction, • And industrial professionals.
Job Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of hands-on field experience performing fiber optic splicing,
- Installation,
- Testing,
- Or network deployment within the last five years.
- Current Fiber Optic Association (FOA) Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) certification.
- Current Fiber Optic Association (FOA) Certified Fiber Optic Specialist - Splicing (CFOS/S) certification.
- Previous experience teaching,
- Instructing,
- Mentoring,
- Or facilitating adult learners.
- Demonstrated experience with fusion splicing equipment and fiber optic testing instruments.
- Experience teaching classroom and hands-on lab courses in a professional or technical training environment.
- Working knowledge of fiber optic installation standards,
- Testing methodologies,
- And industry best practices.
- Current driver's license.
