Job Description

Fiber Optics Splicing Instructor – Project Based Instruction

NTT Training

• Responsible for teaching fiber optic installation, • Fusion splicing, • Ribbon splicing, • Testing, • Troubleshooting, • And broadband deployment practices to a variety of NTT's clients. • Instruction is delivered through classroom presentations, • Hands-on laboratory exercises, • And field-based demonstrations for telecommunications, • Broadband, • Utility, • Construction, • And industrial professionals.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of hands-on field experience performing fiber optic splicing,
  • Installation,
  • Testing,
  • Or network deployment within the last five years.
  • Current Fiber Optic Association (FOA) Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) certification.
  • Current Fiber Optic Association (FOA) Certified Fiber Optic Specialist - Splicing (CFOS/S) certification.
  • Previous experience teaching,
  • Instructing,
  • Mentoring,
  • Or facilitating adult learners.
  • Demonstrated experience with fusion splicing equipment and fiber optic testing instruments.
  • Experience teaching classroom and hands-on lab courses in a professional or technical training environment.
  • Working knowledge of fiber optic installation standards,
  • Testing methodologies,
  • And industry best practices.
  • Current driver's license.
