Principal Consultant - Deltek Costpoint

Role Description BlueStreet seeks a Principal Consultant specializing in Deltek Costpoint to lead and execute complex ERP implementation and business intelligence projects for Govcon clients. This role applies advanced accounting, finance, and technical expertise to conduct system reviews, design and configure Costpoint environments, ensure compliance, and develop reporting solutions. The Principal Consultant guides project delivery, provides quality oversight, mentors junior team members, and serves as a primary point of contact for clients—driving successful outcomes through strong project management, analytical capability, and exceptional customer service. - Apply advanced accounting or finance and technical skills to implement accounting ERP systems or provide business intelligence services. - Conduct system reviews, system design/set-up, and ensure compliance or report-writing. - Prepare updates and status reports. - Coach functional users on use and maintenance of implementation tools and templates if applicable. - Check work to ensure quality control; may orient, train, assign, and review the work of junior staff. - Provide excellent customer service and meet assigned deliverables for assigned projects. - Work under minimal supervision, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish a variety of tasks and goals. - Perform other implementation/accounting related tasks as assigned. - Conduct implementation tasks in adherence to established controls/procedures; may conduct research and analysis to resolve issues or develop new processes and procedures. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance. - 6+ years of ERP implementation experience. - 3+ years of experience implementing Deltek Costpoint. - Advanced knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting required; knowledge of government contract accounting principles and FAR strongly preferred. - Proficient in computers and standard office applications (specifically in Microsoft Excel). - Proficient with accounting package Deltek Costpoint. - Able to effectively lead a team and serve as a mentor to mid-level consultants. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. - Able to pursue opportunities to provide additional products and services to clients. - Strong project management skills required. - Able to travel up to 40% of the time.
