Role Description Become a part of something special. Emory University School of Medicine’s Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences is seeking a full-time Radiologist to read evening emergency department and inpatient work. Position opening is for expansion due to increased volume, and eligible for remote work. - This evening position rotates 1 week on (7 days, 9-hour shift, 6p-3am) and 2 weeks off (inclusive of recovery, vacation, CME, academic). This equates to 121 clinical shifts per year. - 17 weeks of remote clinical evenings per year! Remote from anywhere in the USA except New Jersey, Hawaii, or Alaska. - This evening radiologist will focus their clinical care exclusively at one of the Southeast’s busiest Level 1 trauma centers (Grady Memorial Hospital), providing interpretations in conjunction with trainees. - The primary clinical scope will involve chest and abdominal imaging. Although the scope can be 100% abdominal and chest imaging, candidates will be able to read other emergency imaging exams if preferred. - A separate evening neuroradiologist would be responsible for neuroradiology work. - Candidates should possess strong clinical skills, highly function in the fast-paced, time-sensitive emergency setting, and work well in a collaborative environment. - Candidates should be prepared to participate in both the clinical and non-clinical divisional activities, including education and trainee supervision. - There are opportunities for additional extra duty clinical work for additional salary if desired. Qualifications - Applicants must be ABR Board-certified/eligible and eligible to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license. - Candidates with subspecialty training or emergency imaging experience are desired. - Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
