Job Description
Adoption Social Worker
NEON
• Determines a family’s ability and capacity to parent an adopted child by conducting pre-home study meetings as requested, reviewing and assessing agency-requested information, evaluating the family’s knowledge and perceptions of adoption, teaching adoption education courses as needed, and conducting psycho-social assessments of family members • Contributes to the delivery of high-quality adoption services by producing adoption home studies and post placement reports that comply with provided guidelines and meet current agency, state, country and USCIS requirements • Provides support and case management of all assigned families by maintaining quarterly contacts throughout process, communicating information to the family, referring family to appropriate community support systems when necessary and documenting all correspondence in Holt’s database • Prepares family for travel and assists with post placement adjustment by providing training and identifying resources available to help meet the child’s needs and aid in the child’s adjustment to the family • Conduct home visits as required by state law and country program guidelines, assist in early identification of problematic issues, and make a determination regarding the stability and appropriateness of the placement • Assures child’s physical and emotional well-being and eases family’s adjustment by providing counseling to the child and family and/or helping arrange for counseling with a clinician outside the agency if needed • In case of an adoption disruption or dissolution, maintain relationship with family to ensure transition plan is developed that meets the child’s needs • Assist child and family with transition of child to new placement • Contributes to public knowledge about Holt and supports Holt programs by participating in activities arranged by Holt including picnics or parent groups, representing Holt at adoption meetings, coalitions and organizations, and performing other outreach activities as appropriate • Maintains professional knowledge by attending relevant seminars and course work, keeping informed about State regulations, legislation, adoption issues and child-related issues overseas; maintaining license, if required • Contributes to a positive, productive work environment by meeting attendance and punctuality guidelines and pre-arranging time off with appropriate notice; treating all people with dignity and respect; and exhibiting good listening and comprehension skills including giving and welcoming feedback • Contributes to team effort by working cooperatively with Branch and Eugene offices, respectfully responding to all communication from Branch and Eugene in a timely manner • Providing back-up to colleagues as needed and supporting branch office in meeting objectives
Job Requirements
- Master's in Social Work required or another Social Service Master's degree with at least 2 years of adoption and/or foster care experience
- Requires the application of clinical skills and knowledge to determine the appropriateness of an adoptive placement of a child and whether that placement is in the best interests of the child
- Must have proven clinical and assessment skills and experience in adoption services and processes
- Ability to conduct a psycho-social assessment
- Knowledge of family and group dynamics and adoption practices
- Excellent writing and computer skills
- Cross cultural sensitivity
- Required to complete a minimum of 30 hours of training every two years on current and emerging adoption practice issues.

• Conduct outbound and inbound specialist calls with advisors. • Every call should introduce a concept, advance a relationship, or move a specific opportunity forward. • Co-own an assigned territory with an SVP, Wealth Solutions. • Build and execute the territory business plan, advisor coverage model, and sales strategy. • Host virtual meetings with advisors independently. • Cover advisor meetings virtually in support of the paired SVP when in-person coverage is not feasible. • Lead investment conversations across DST, QOZ, and Developmental Real Estate strategies, including the tax and planning context that drives advisor decision-making. • Qualify and advance advisor interest through the sales process. • Identify where an advisor is in their diligence process and define a concrete next step on every call. • Own the follow-up cadence for every advisor interaction: follow-up call, materials sent, next touchpoint scheduled, and CRM entry logged within 24 hours. • Execute call and email campaigns to achieve the firm’s strategic objectives. • Maintain the territory’s outreach cadence for advisors who are not yet active. • Prepare the SVP for field meetings: know the advisor’s history, prior conversations, pipeline status, and open items before the SVP walks in. • Build and manage the territory calendar, advisor rotation, and ranking. • Cover meetings within the territory, including occasional travel for 1:1 and group meetings with advisors. • Log all advisor calls, meetings, and territory activity in Salesforce/CRM within 24 hours. • Keep opportunity stages, contact records, and advisor profiles current. • Maintain deep, current product knowledge across all active Griffin strategies. • Research and understand competitor offerings to identify where Griffin’s solutions fit. • Stay current on broader financial markets, commercial real estate, and alternative investment trends. • Work with the team to prepare presentations, white papers, and other marketing materials. • Assist and resolve escalated client service issues when necessary. • Adhere to all compliance and company guidelines, including use of approved materials, documentation standards, and required licensing and continuing education.
